Transmutation requires death. This is why it is considered the dark arts. Extracting the essence of something requires the death of that thing such as when we eat, the energy gets "transmuted" but it has to die. The psychological is no different in a way, a death must happen to the part of your mind that interpreted the "previous defined" truth about the self. The truth that got assigned to you by outside influence and opinion of others. This is why some even decide to re-name themselves. Taking a step out of reality as they know it and start defining and establishing their way by using the same laws as before only with new thoughts and motivation. I think also, most people don't understand this and find it completely unnatural and may find it disturbing to see someone go through this transaction as it causes you to shift in the things you do with your time, and how you react to people. It seems like insanity to some and it feels isolating but as long as you are focused on the goals you have while still incorporating yourself into your surroundings, making sure to live in gratitude of any situation, and loving where your at or removing yourself from where your not happy, manifestation kind of naturally flows to you.

I also am stuck in the past and this came at the importune time. I just finished the book on the "idiot's guide to alchemy" and it's really great. I'm aware of what's discussed in the book and some I didn't and solidified certain things for me. Thank you for sharing your wisdom.

They tried to teach me then but I was a fully endoctrinated Jehovah’s Witness at the time my heart was not open to the message I knew what they were saying was true but my parents weren’t having that ish

All witches should be practicing alchemy....and if they study and base their magick on the hermetic principles (which they SHOULD) then they are. I hate to see a witch that doesn't really get to the root of how it all works. I think that all books on magick and witchcraft should have a section devoted to the hermetic principles and alchemy. I have a lot of books and the only ones that I have (that I can recall) that have an emphasis on it are Laurie Cabots Book of Shadows (my bible) and Ellen Dugans Practical Prosperity Magick.

You are so right about the stores carrying more occult items. When I first moved to Oklahoma almost ten years ago there was not much in the occult section at Barnes and noble. Now there’s almost a whole isle of books, tarot cards, and other esoteric items.

Love this video, SO much I need to learn as a beginner in Alchemy. Sadly, I went to check online all over and the Book of Alchemy by Francis Melville is all sold out at Barnes and Noble. There's a few left on Amazon and a couple of 3rd party sellers but omg the price on that book is frightening! :-( I just spoke with an employee on the phone at Barnes and Noble and she said the book isn't being printed anymore :-(((( I can't believe you got it so cheap. I'm not sure if it's worth the money or if you have another book recommendation as a substitute for that one? Anyone have a book equivalent to that one that you recommend?
