ALCO #7020 the first diesel switcher brought to Toronto by the CPR has been unused and cold for 28 years. Soon it will be warm and running again at the Toronto Railway Museum www.trha.ca
Note: Prior to barring over the engine was pre-lubed and the injectors removed. Cylinders were lubricated above the pistons. Injector pumps were removed for servicing.

This is one of the biggest straight-6 engines ever to be fitted to a locomotive. The cylinders have a 12-1/2" x 13" bore and stroke, equaling 1,595 cubic inches per cylinder, or nearly 10,000 cubic inches in total.

Awesome, can't wait to see 7020 on its own power.

Was the pre-oiler pump used before it was barred over? If not, how were the bearings first oiled?
