This was an awesome comparison video on Alcohol markers and the best choice of ink pads to use. Thank you for taking the time to compare so many different inks. Interesting test - I think you had some good thoughts on these inks. Unfortunately, I think the test was ruined a bit because what was showing on the screen was not really matching what you were saying. I think maybe is was the washing of the stamp - maybe it was too wet or something judging by the fact that you were not getting good ink adhesion and had to keep restamping. You said that the first two were not recommended, but really - they seemed ok to me (a little blooming, but nothing drastic and maybe would work if a person took care to not go over the ink with the marker). You said the last two were recommended and they seemed to bloom with the ink or else you needed something to mask the ink first - hence the embossing powder. And ink that needs a protective layer, to me, does not seem ideal. Especially if one does not want to emboss every time they want to color with alcohol markers. So it seemed an unfair advantage, too, as - they all would work equally great if protected under a layer of plastic. If you look at the pictures at the end, aside from the embossed ones, all the inks looked like they had some type of minor blooming once the alcohol marker was applied. But maybe that is also due to the multiple stampings - can't really be sure. The MFT Hybrid seemed to be the worst performer though - you can see every place the nib dragged across the ink. I know it's hard to do think and film and etc etc - I almost wish you had prestamped all the images so they would all have had time to dry and you wouldn't have had to rush and wet the stamp and heat set the inks every time. I really think that effected the outcome. It's still a great, informative video though. Introduced me several inks I didn't know existed.

Thank you for the video! Can you share how you get such crisp lines with embossing ink/powder? I always have problems with static and specs around my image despite using a small paintbrush and prepping the paper with anti-static pouch. Thanks!

Thank you for continuing this series. I am very interested in improving my skills with Copics. I like the versafine for when I want a deep black ink for stamping sentiments. I have never used it with Copics. All black inks are not created equal, huh? I am always trying new ones. Lately I have liked the Brutus Monroe Raven detail ink. It's a nice black for general stamping and I like the size of the pad when I am using a stamping platform. It's a little smaller and it fits in my hand easier. Thanks for this series.

Very informative--I have never really thought about other black inks. I have Ranger black archival and the Tuxedo black. I use my Distress Inks as watercolor and I don't have any alcohol markers.

Tfs however I do feel that the comparison was ruined when you used the clear embossing powder over some of the ink like the versa fine which has been my favorite and go to ink. I don’t fave the lawn fawn or the hydros so I was looking forward to seeing the comparison with versa fine. Although you did describe everything gave your thoughts which were very informative and I don’t mean for this to sound negative in any way I’m just stating my thoughts that using the clear embossing powder on some of the inks I feel doesn’t make it a fair comparison. But thankyou so much for taking your time to make this video for us.

I'm using my favourite things ink in black licorice but it seems to smudge lots. I will try heat setting the ink first though. Thanks.

Versafine onyx black takes forever to dry without heat setting it.

Was it my imagination but did the Umbrella Ink look smeared? It did to me.

I have used the mft hybrid extreme black and even with heat setting I still get smudges when I copic color, especially with the E0000, E000, and E00. I have even gone back to use it, after heat setting, a week later and still got the mouth and eyes smudging on my project. I have never had any issues with the momento black and it didn't require heat setting. Have you ever heard of that? Is there any way mft may have sent me a pigment ink on the wrong ink pad? Or am I doing something wrong? I was really hoping that mft would work with my copics.

This has been a very informative video. I was under the impression that embossing powder would damage the nibs of your COPIC markers. Wondering if you can tell me your impression!💜🤗

What about stamping on alcohol inks?i use ceramic tiles and the stamping pads I have used so far bleeds horribly.
