Hi dor. Really appreciate your collection. Do you own the shell plain toe bluchers by Alden and by Brooks Brothers/Alden? If you do, I was wondering whether one should size 1/2 down for the BB/Alden as one would for the Alden.
Hello do you notice any difference in quality from Alden to Brooks Brothers? I am currently looking to purchase a bb shell cordovan wing tip 23275 on eBay I heard they might be on a different last but other then that is there any difference that you might know of? I own several Alden, Allen Edmonds and Crockett & Jones (RL) cordovan and I feel all of them are made of excellent quality but not sure of Brooks Brother!
Hello, from a quality perspective, they are identical. As you noted, sometimes there are differences in the lasts, or single versus double Oak sole, but they’re made on the same lines in the same factory, with the same materials.
