The drummer is Marina Bozzio who is daughter of Terry Bozzio, drummer of Missing Persons and Frank Zappa fame. “We Are” Aldious. They are the OG all-female J-Metal band of this millennium and they are bloody good. Their music sets them apart, it’s varied, but when it’s good it’s some of the very best.
Huh, I didn't know that, but I bet my husband does, he's a big Zappa fan! Anway, Just curious, are you busy tonight? This is my favorite band of all time. They have been around since 2008 and have a massive discography multiple genres and not one bad or even mediocre song. And they write all their own music and lyrics.

Thanks for reacting to Aldious.. Do some more, they are a great band Here are the lyrics for you.. I suffered one day. I cried one night Crouching alone looking like a pupa glowing Hoping one day to find something true I keep on flying high I won't let you regret 何度だって蘇り 羽ばたいてみせる(nando datutte yomigaeri habataite miseru) We are We are We are Burn it in those eyes‼︎ When you are lost Let five soul colors guide Light Your feet bright and shows you all the way 何度だってつれていくよ 笑顔の先へ(nando datutte tureteikuyo egao no sakie) We are We are We are Burn it in those eyes‼︎ Best wishes from France
Aldious is a great all female Japanese band formed in 2008. My favorite line up was when Rami (first singer) was with the band. Check out - Luft (Music video) Re-Upload, Bind, Spirit Black (Music Video) Re-Upload.

English and American rock and pop music have dominated the world music market for tens of years. The majority of people in the world who worship English speaking musicians and bands don't really know English. Maybe because the music is the most important part of a good song? The Japanese music market is the second largest in the world, it's time that we in the West open our ears and pay attention to what are currently the best musicians in the world (for hand-played live music). It is good for us. Aldious is the oldest (2008) Japanese women's heavy metal band still in existence and still one of the best in Japan. In 2023, the women will celebrate their 15th anniversary with a live tour in Japan. Members 2023 Lead Guitar : Yoshi Hoshizaki Lead Guitar : Toki Bass : Sawa Drums : Marina Bozzio Support Member : Vocals : Maki Oyama
@@outwest1014 Yes you are right. However, I count Show Ya as a different generation. Show Ya is a really big name in Japan and they were able to earn good money in the eighties and nineties, so that it's enough for the whole life. I don't see it that way with the generation from 2005 until today. The younger bands are all struggling hard in the market, hardly anyone in Japan knows bands like Lovebites, Nemophila and Aldious. It's probably the same with Band Maid. Different times today in the music market. I like Show Ya a lot.🤘
@@gitterich Band Maid is much better known than the others. They have been on more "mainline" TV shows and their Tokyo Garden concert is a Big Deal in the Japanese music world. None the less AKB48 and Morning Mesume have a huge fan base and are far more famous. Saki, of Nemophila, stated on Herman Li's website that Rock/Metal is a very small part of the music market in Japan. She also said the #1 Rock/Metal band is Band Maid!
@@outwest1014 I would be happy if that's the case. Miku and her woman gang have worked really hard for the last 10 years. It is good when hard-working people reap the rewards they deserve one day.😀

More info Original line up Rami vocals, Yoshi guitars (typically in red), Toki guitars and piano (typically in pink), Sawa on bass, Aruto on drums Rami left for a solo career and was replaced by Re:No the singer in this video Aruto got married and had a baby and left and was replaced by Marina (this video) Re:No had health problems and left and was replaced by Rin (who sang the theme for Attack on Titan) Rin toured and put out 3 albums then left to go back to her solo career And they are currently touring with singer Maki Oyama Toki still with the band went on hiatus for a while to get married and have a baby but is still there They also have several songs with a violinist unfortunately I don't know her name. Originally they formed as a Power Metal band (the first in the new generation of female metal bands along with Destrose) ( the previous generation included Show Ya formed back in the 1980s and had reunited in the early 2020s to tour again). And with Rami mostly played Power Metal and Speed Metal. They are a Visual Kei band meaning they have elaborate costumes and shows - Visual Kei was invented by X Japan at a time when most Japanese bands just wore regular street clothes, they were influenced by KISS and the punk and Glam of the 70s and 80s----- most J-Metal and J-Rock are visual kei so you see a lot of costumes---- Their concept was to dress like women in "hostess clubs" --- elaborate evening gown and party girl clothes. When Re:No joined she added in a bunch of other music style and wanted to go for a more "black" look to be like more modern American metal bands (not popular with the fans) but went back to their original style. With Re:No they did more Thrash (We Are), Goth Metal (Sweet Temptation), Ballads (I don't like me), Pop Punk (Die For You), Hard Rock and other genres. Rin joined and they added Prog Metal Show Down, as well as highly orchestrated Broadway musical style like I wish for You. Starting in July 2023 they are going on their 15th anniversary tour with singer Maki Oyama who has been touring with them for the last 2 yrs. They have 2 albums that made the Billboard top ten in Japan -- District Zero reached #7, and We Are reached #10. Almost all the rest have been Billboard top 20.

Haven’t come across this band yet so thanks. I’ll have to listen to more of them. Really like the music and while the vocals are good it doesn’t seem to fit quite right to me. Overall still a good one though. I wanted to suggest you give the Canadian band “Spiritbox” and their song “Circle With Me” a review. Courtney has a very unique voice that I quite enjoy. There are small, meaningful, interjections of aggression in an otherwise beautiful song and it certainly has become a favorite of mine.
