I remember Adolphus Hailstork being present at one of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and the Brazeal Dennard Chorale performances, at Orchestra Hall, in Detroit, MI, and he addressed the chorus before we went on stage. Maestro Hailstork was in tears, thanking us for performing his works, and keeping them alive. It was one of our best performances of this work, ever! Miss those days of great works by our awesome musical Brothers and Sisters! 💜💜🎶🎶👏🏾👏🏾👍🏽👍🏽🎵🎵
Participating in this was hands down the best choral experience I’ve ever had, and I’ve had many. Genius composer and singing with the choir at Morgan State was a dream come true❤
I met Adolphus Hailstork when we lived in Virginia--a gracious, delightful man with abundant talent--but I never realized that his works were THIS awe-inspiring! This blew me away!
Performed this 2 months ago in October 2023 as a student in the LSU Tiger Glee Club and Gospel Choir. I can say that this is probably the best choral experience I've ever had, and nothing comes close!
As an avid " classical composer" devotee, l came upon Adolphus Hailstork purely by chance. So very glad l did. His 2nd Symphony captured my heart. Simply a wonderfully inventive composer.
An excellent performance of another amazing composition by Mr. Hailstork, in 3 sections: I Will Lift Up Mine Eyes [Text by Anonymous] How Long? [Text by Anonymous] 4:41 The Lord Is My Shepherd, Alleluia 13:00
