This really helps put into perspective just how truly _dark_ darksouls 3 was. In DS3, Aldritch's corrupted magic looked vibrant in contrast to surroundings, but here it looks awfully dull.
@@wont0repeat446 exactly. like I get that it's meant to be dark because the world is slowly dying but come on really? even archdragon peak which is still far in the past looks quite dull.
Agreed . He usually wins these battles in these vids purely for the fact that the AI is completely stupid. The arrows and his dive bomb which are easy to dodge are always taken to the face.
Honestly, normally I kinda zone out watching Malenia fights as they're usually a forgone conclusion. But after Aldritch's rain of arrow bullshit destroying any meanful challenge, seeing him fall victim to Maleina's "hippity hoppity, your health is now my property" dance was *deeply* cathartic.
Yeah I never played Ds3 but that rain attack looked so annoying Like I wanted Godfrey to Win so bad but nope. Then as I was watching the Melania fight I had no choice but to root for Her.
Nothing is worse than Malenia's moveset and skills. Stealing life at every hit while havin superarmour is like playing GTA5 with cheats... only with more cinematic moves that is. Malenia is total shit
@@TheLOL4DUDE eh she’s not that hard her moveset besides waterfowl is easy to dodge for me. But even waterfowl I got used to now. It’s also super easy to stagger her and get critical hits on her. I had a harder time with the fire giant.
So what changes did you make to the bosses? Aldrich only has a few thousand HP in DS3 in NG and a little over 8k in NG+7. Then proceeds to take a 14k damage shot from Radahn after already being a 1/4 HP down and laughs it off.
I believe this creator tries to scale bosses as evenly as possible, but I may be wrong. Other creators who pit bosses against each other usually put at least their health on even ground so the fights don't get boring.
This makes me appreciate just how much damage Aldrich's constant cloud of tiny magic projectiles does. Dodging them in PvE is such a pain, and the slower bosses with large hitboxes are constantly taking chip damage from it during the fight.
Alot of people need to remember or know (if you havent played ds3) Aldrich's arrow storm was extremely op meaning if you was hit directly youd most likely die. However, it was extremely easy to dodge and manoeuvre. With this being said most bosses (even in ds3) could not take arrow storm directly and if they did theyd die or instantly have their health pools diminished in mere seconds.
I've never seen the Magic Golem being so outright humiliated by an enemy, although Aldritch was basically almost immune to magic, he definitely had an affair to end with the Golem.
Yep and barely any of rennalas attack made it crazy how much damage rennala does and Aldrich did decent damage even though rennala has 80 percent magic resistance Aldrich is broken even though if it was vanilla Aldrich she would've lost
Something is really wrong with your mod. How are Rennala's homing spells missing so much? I've seen Aldrich fight Rennala before and she could at least hit him.
I know right? At first I thought Rennala was kicking butt then I realized I was looking at the wrong health bar. She was lighting Aldrich up but it wasn't doing any damage....(or hitting when it should have)
There's this weird thing where the boss' aggro is sometimes deactivated when Aldrich does his burrowing. It was there in DS3 bvb as well. This happened at the exact moment Mohg was about to Nihil. If you notice, the same thing happens in the Placidusax fight and in the Radagon fight.
15:10 Aldrich decided to do some 200 IQ moves there. Prevent Mohg to count with a poise break and beat him up. But when Mohg got up and said UNUS, Aldrich hides underground to confuse his opponent, then tackle him to another poise break and finish the lord of blood.
it feels like aldrich has faster animations than when hes in ds3. its weird. if it does, it fits elden ring's faster pace so well lol. good vid as usual!
I always found the gwyndolin's arrows annoying on the ds1 and the teleport, but aldrich managed to take it to another level. I imagine that gwyndolin being there in its original form would be the same style as the fight against Renalla with the difference of the bow and arrow and the teleportation spells. I imagine that Shira It would do a lot of damage, the mad king's crucifix and that lightning bow would do a lot of damage against bosses and it would be cool to see a fight from her.
I feel so weirdly protective of Aldrich. ER and DS are not in competition. Elden Ring is an improvement in every way. But I started with Souls, spent a long time sunk deep into it. And the result is that, somehow, I am rooting for the most ridiculously evil bastard in the entire trilogy to trounce as many gods and demigods as he can here. He's MY heinous bastard. Go get 'em, blobby! Hit 'em with your Gwyndolin-Onna-Stick, there you go.
As much as I like this, Aldrich uses the rain of arrows trail a lot more in the actual game than he does here. He is also less about getting in your face and more about making you chase his damn ass across the room. Literally the reason I hate him so much.
The renalla fight was the coolest in my opinion, would have been an epic fight if she actualy had a chance though lol. Scale her health and damage to Aldrichs. She would have probably won.
They actually have around the same damage since both has extreme magic resistance plus rennala was supposed to win but Aldrich health was like 5x no exaggeration she only has a few hp is what I heard in the comments
Once again this vid cements my belief that maliketh would have been the second strongest soulsborne boss (after malenia) if he began with full phase 2 healthbar (10k hp) ala pulling the rune of death at the start of the fight/ getting serious from the beginning. In all these ds3 vs elden ring vids, he gets fucked by his half hp bar and phase transition. The demon of hatred fight comes to mind.
"Full phase 2" doesn't exist, he only has 5K HP in the game. The health bar is just a visual presentation, it's a combined HP of both phases. If you combine Malenia's HP and give her only 1 health bar, she will still have 34k HP.
@@johnt3500He wants Maliketh to heal up to full (i.e. 10k) when phase 2 begins, or otherwise just double his hp. I think that'd be unrewarding design- what I would do is give him a total of 15k hp and have him phase transition at 60% instead of 50%. The same effect, but feels more rewarding.
@@johnt3500 I literally wrote "10k hp" so dumbasses who disingenuously spam "his total health is 5k. Healthbar is just a visual representation" under any comment discussing maliketh's full health bar (when it is very clear what the comment is actually talking about) won't spam their retarded spiel. But you did it anyway, and without reading I might add. Same thing in a "demon of hatred vs all bosses" comment , where a guy was spamming this exact insincere take under a "maliketh full health bar" comment. And of course they brought up Malenia, just like you😂. I'm seeing a pattern here.
@@Count.Saruman yeah, i get what he means, just give Maliketh more HP. I just keep seeing these comments about him having "half health bar"... What matters is the actual HP value.
@@Count.Saruman I dont want maliketh to "heal to full" -since that would make him "stronger " in a sense than the game wants him to be (since he heals himself instead of just transforming). But him starting 2nd phase full health makes sense both lore/thematically and gameplay wise (although it wont be as hype) becuase he is essentially "getting serious from the start". This arguement doesnt apply to soemone like malenia or rykard, who are essentially given "second chances". I am not asking him to get "more health" (now watch as some people disingenously misinterpret this argurment to say that "all bosses should get more health" when thats not what I said at all ), but just that he gets serious from the beginning, sth he can perfectly do in lore and gameplay. So he has 10k hp (lore accurate), but pulls out the death rune right at the start (completely possible for him to do.)
I humbly request, Laxasia The Complete (From Lies Of P) vs Elden Ring Bosses (especially Malenia) and Nameless Puppet (From Lies Of P) vs Elden Ring Bosses
I feel like aldrich should be able to beat Malenia if he used his arrows more often and if he just maintained distance instead of reappearing on the same spot.
I've noticed that a lot of moves seem to just miss despite the target not moving at all. Meanwhile as a player you got tracking overkill from these guys.
The elden ring AI seems broken. Because the bosses didn't do second form as fast, their death was counted before the health bars drained, and Ragadon would be soaking up those spells, which he never did once. Just weird.
I like to think Aldrich form would be completely different if it was in the Elden Ring world, based on what kind of things it would have devoured at that point
Elden Right Fight. Congratulation for making Dark Soul 3 Boss for the first time. Now its time the cltutches It's time gor you to Better Make Pontiff Sulyvahn Converge mod since He had 3 Bar of 3 Phase (P1 Faster, P2 Doppel, P3 Isshin) Your Video will be worth it 100000000% record. 👍
Strange I remember many of these Elden Ring bosses that Aldrich beats so easily giving me much more trouble than Aldrich himself I mean Aldrich took me like 8 tries in Dark Souls 3 the first Time, but Maliketh took me lat least 12 times the very first time, because Maliketh can one shot you with many attacks even if you have good Vig, but I don't feel like it Is the case with Aldrich many of His attacks are much More Easy to tank and Dodge than Maliketh's ones. I mean even Fotissax who still cause me trouble some times Is totally defetead by Aldrich.
You got to remember even back in dark souls 3 Aldrich's arrow storm was extremely broken. Meaning if it caught you most times your dead. But with that also being said it was extremely easy to dodge. The difference is bosses dont really have that ability to dodge on command like that and most bosses that that take the blunt force of Aldrich's arrow storm will die. With that being said, even back in ds3 look at Midir and Gael with extremely high health pools and resistences would either die or have the majority of their health gone in a split second due to his arrow storm.
@@vitocorleone2309 His arrow storm is strong, but he originally has low health and would generally die before using his ability efficiently, that's why the mod's author makes him stronger so he can use it and win most of the time.
nah just the Author thought that giving him a idiot amount of health is bigbrain move, no matter if his arrow is deadly or not, that health is stupid, why even bother to make other boss fight if the boost is only intended for equal to vs Malenia in the first place??
It appears you chose a match in which malenia did well. Considering that aldritch is immune to poison/toxic and thus rot, and how her aeonia perfectly occured at exact moment and positioning to save her from the arrow spam. That's 1 in a 5 round type rng.
Eh? That matchup was a foregone conclusion regardless of rng. To beat Malenia, Aldrich would need to dodge Aeonia (it still deals damage even if you are immune to Rot), and use two arrowstorms in succession, the second immediately after dodging Aeonia. That's incredibly unlikely. Otherwise he just can't win. He doesn't have much hp, and is guaranteed to take one waterfowl in phase 1 which will halve his hp. Add to that the fact that Malenia is incredibly mobile, can hyperarmour through staggers, is damage-protected on her last bit of hp in phase 1 (i.e. she'll survive the first hit that would ordinarily kill her with 1 hp), and has quite likely the best dodging AI in the game.
@@Count.Saruman You make some good point but Aldritch uses the "following/tracking" version of arrow rain after he hits 40% hp. Malenia's waterfowl deals around 40% of his health. If he had above 50% health when he used the arrow spam, it would be the non-tracking variant, and would continue to hurt malenia after she hits him with aeonia (it deals around 300 flat dmg per second which is not as deadly as her rot ). Him being below 40% hp before using a arrow rain isnt a foregone conclusion. Infact it's very rare rng.
