You can be sad, because it’s a sad song. The point of music is to tell a story and deliver a message in an awesome,catchy, and beautiful way.... and this song did just that. So the story line of the song is..... When I was young I build a robot friend. We did everything together and I loved him so much. We did everything together until I left my parents house for college and then I forgot about him and he died. The real message behind real personal story is this.... When I was young, I found my best friend. We did so much together and we always knew we would be best friends for forever. When it came time for college, we split. And after college I found something else that made me so happy but forgot about my friend. Without me and my support my friend fell into a dark spiraling hole. He ran into many complications, and he wrote a note to me in his last minutes. We don’t know how, but in some way shape or form, he committed suicide because his life wasn’t in a stable place without me as a friend. You see the song can convey a message in a fictacious way to make the song more entertaining. But I get it, I cried too. B ur we should be crying, once we look past the surface of the songs meaning, the true meaning is something very deep
