When Alejandro said "don't forget my daughter" the wife knew that its not only she and her husband that will die but their sons as well. The transformation of Alarcon's face from confidence to loss to terror when he realized everything was taken from him and he was about to die Alejandro's long pause letting the situation really sink in to Alarcon, taking a deep breath savoring his moment of revenge finally fulfilled. This scene is fvcking perfect. The acting carried it all

Or, I look at it this way. I think the wife lowers her head in shame as she didn't think that her husband could be that ruthless to have a child killed.

Of all the cinematic deliveries I've ever seen, I just might agree with you. The lines, the pauses, the expressions, absolute TRUTH in it all. Fausto: 'Confident and Arrogant': The people that sent you, who do you think we learned it from" Alejandro's toughts: 'They didn't kill my wife and daughter, and they didn't send me, THIS IS PERSONAL!' 👹

5:59 This moment is so powerful. He recognizes the horrible pain he once felt on the face of the man he has come to kill. Amazing direction, acting and everything else. Everything in this film came together perfectly.

Love the small details. The decision to shoot the driver off screen for some reason just worked, and the way Alejandro relaxes and spits when he knows the hard work is done. Superb stuff

To say a man whose wife was beheaded and the daughter was dissolved in acid to say it was nothing personal is the stupidest thing you can say. If he had apologized, he might have been able to save his children.

I honestly believe this was my favorite revenge scene I’ve ever seen. He was so good that if I saw Benecio walking down a dark alley, and if I didn’t know he was a Hollywood actor, I’d really believe he was Alejandro in real life. I feel the same way about Anthony Hopkins, if I were to see him walking down a street, I would think he eats people… For real.

the best part is, the drug lord thought that alejandro was just gonna do him and not his whole family, that's why he said; "not in front of my boys." that's why you see the surprised look on his face when alejandro shoots them first.. this movie is a masterpiece..

Taylot Sheridan wrote this and deserves a lot of credit for this amazing film. Of course, the direction and acting is superb. For me the most chilling part of the scene is when he kills the two boys and his wife and then lets him feel the anguish prior to executing him. He could have tortured them.

The main reason i enjoyed these movies so much is that they were real in every aspect. Nothing was sugar coated or edit diluted because it was too violent. I hope theres a third one and soon.

He kills the wife first so that she doesn’t have to see her sons death, then he kills the boys so that the guy suffers for a moment. Then he just kills him when he saw his face full of fear and shock. Perfect just perfect

This scene is the only reason I’m happy they didn’t use captions in this film. I am film obsessed and will pause and rewind to make sure I catch every word and every moment of every movie. So at first, I was very frustrated not being able to understand some of the dialogue since I’m not very good with my Spanish. However, this part changed my entire mindset on that directive decision. You don’t need to know Spanish to understand what is said in this ultimate scene. CHILLING.

Those deep heavy breadth he took right after taking out the boss family show a human side to him. Something we almost never see throughout the film. You can tell it wasn't easy for him to do that. It's almost as if he's disgusted at himself for becoming that monster. Just a breathtaking scene.
