if it said from solid to boiling. would it be up to the boiling point, or the entire phase change?

With this terminology that would mean up to the boiling point. If it wants the entire phase change it would say "completely evaporated" or something like that.

he divided the mass by its molar mass to get moles

I think he rounded wrong. I got an answer of 29.7kJ. Aleks would have probably counted his answer wrong.

You made a mistake when using the specif heat capacity...wrong temperature unit..check again
