Alem did far more than he needed to win in this battle. From 3:05 to 3:18 he was able to do various techniques that he picked up from Krnfx's first round and to just be able to do it like that is just so massive. Then he did both his best beats he had from that year (Fatality and West side.) If he had saved one of those beats to later he would have won the final.
KRNFX is probably one of my favorite beatboxers,. Alem knew that he was good so he went all out on him. Alem did amazing,, thing is that KRNFX was really sick that day and he couldn't do anything about it. I hope they can have another battle one day. Show that KRNFX can do better than he did. Still both are better them me...
making fun of other player can be found crucial in such battles, but I see it not cool at all; especially alem at 4:50 was truly disgusting, and I probably didn't like him when I saw that years ago, although he's also a very skillful champion. But yeah, mocking someone else on stage like that was uncool and it just looks disgusting af.
@@TalesKursped Alem was just acting silly but making fun of each other is part of the battle. Alem is actually really humble and you can see at the end they hug each other and alem doesn't actually mean the mocking.
KRNFX got more variety and also some pretty technical beats in this battle whereas Alem went mainly for speed and got the crows attention with that piece he did.
Kenneth Sahureka yeah you're right. I just wish judges in battles would vote for musicality more and not just technicality. I mean its definitely harder to do, but musical beatboxers are just much better to listen to.
this battle is such a classic. way back when alem first started incorporating the "west side" beat in his battles, his rebuttal in the start of the 2nd round was so nasty and true, ending krnfx. Can't mess with the GOAT of technical beatboxing. Not to say krnfx hasnt had great performances in the past, like against dharni way back in the day and against kaleb simmons on KOTD
I'm gonna like and comment cause both are skilled. If i would've been biased i would've given it to Krnfx cause i heard of him from Epic Rap Battles of History. But no bias here
KRNFX was just getting started. As you can see from the battle, at the end of KRNFX second turn he was going to do his style but didn't get enough time to do it.
Still watching till this day! This battle is so good. And this is not even a 1/4final or 1/2final this is one of the best battles through the whole thing.
+Jackie Ye .. I have to agree with you.. I am a huge Terry Im fan (KrnFx) .... But this battle was won by Alem hands down. KrnFx was behind right from the start and instead of trying to do his own better thing, he kept trying to follow Alem's beats and never got ahead to lay down the challenge. Kudos goes to Alem , but Terry is still my favorite. Either way .....What a battle !!!!!
In my opinion... Reeps one should've beaten SkilleR Alem & Reeps one would have been a much better final. I think if you go with pure mic skill Reeps one would win, if you add the speed which Alem can produce, the final would've been insane. Especially as Reeps one & Alem have very distinct styles.
THE ONE, THE BEST, THE FASTEST, BORN TO BATTLE, BORN TO BE CHAMPION *ALEM* 🔥🔥 He's the my inspiration since I started beatboxing 5 years ago !! And I'm here in 2019 to feel the old vibes..
While Alem may have won with his own style, krNfx showed that he was more versatile in several different styles of beatboxing. The repetition thing is prolly from his KOTD days, where people want a clean, concise beat to jam to, not judge.
This is my favourite battle of all time. The clean, concise, simple & complex beats are the best Both Beatboxers are legends KRNFX has so clear sounds man I love it Alex is very good too . The best battle ever
***** He was very sick, he looks quite pale and his sharpness with the bass and other parts of his beatboxing was way off. An example of where he's completely healthy and concentrated was a battle he had way back on KOTD vs Kaleb Simmons especially his 3rd round. He did some Rahzel shit.
Awww... I hate how the crowd was already set on cheering for Alem... KRNFX sounded the best for me... In the middle of the video, he did some crazy shit... I hate when people are biased from the start... Just listen and judge after.. Give the new guy a chance...
Maan,Alem is the new guy he had the chance he beat the krnfx krnfx sound good but AleM is New School Beatboxer Seems Diffrent I Dont hate Krnfx i just say the facts :))) Respect for Both!
Ivan Lapcevic I really didn't like what Alem did... Sure maybe it was complicated to pull off, but it really didn't sound as good to me as what KRNFX did, and for me it's all about the entertainment value, not the difficulty it took..... it sounded too bland.. you know.. like a speaker playing a sound test instead of a proper song... I really LOVED what KRNFX did from 1:45 to 2:25 ... I really felt those sounds, those beats..
It didn't seem like that to me. Everyone has his musical tastes. I told you mine. I thought Alem's beatbox did not have any entertainment value for *ME*, I thought those were bland sounds, even if maybe they were "harder to pull off", I didn't *enjoy* them. On the other side I absolutely loved what KRNFX did between 1:45 - 2:25 ... As simple as that..
