IMPORTANT: All of the sounds demonstrated here were recorded with both temperature and background tunings disabled. If your Andromeda has background tuning enabled, these presets will definitely sound different(!). I wrote an article about it titled "Andromeda A6 sound improvement" at donsolaris.com I highly recommend you read it and try working with Andromeda that way. Remember that back in the day all polysynths had autotune button, so does the Andromeda and don't be shy disabling both the Background and Temperature tunings OFF and use Autotune routine instead! The way vintage Prophets, Oberheims Jupiters work. But why stop here! Don't be shy experimenting without autotune after the power up cycle and manually tune using the tune knob ...if you're into old Krautrock and early Berlin ... you WILL be in heaven!!! If you will be performing on stage, then you should enable Temperature tuning, but please never enable Background tuning unless you intentionally want a "DCO sound".
These are amazing. Curious if you have a programmer for the andromeda, and if so which one. Also wondering what the interface is on screen with the neon green overlays (is that a programmer? or just the way you label stuff for video..?) - lastly, anything else you would recommend if someone were to get the Andromeda in 2023 to keep in mind, or to pair with it, in terms of getting the most out of the experience? Hi! Yes I can recommend many things about andromeda. They are summarized on my webpage in an article titled: "Andromeda A6 sound improvement" at donsolaris.com. Just follow those steps. Green overlay is graphic edit. The good thing is that programmer comes with Andromeda. It is located right above the preset buttons at the top panel and has dozens and dozens of buttons and knobs and it's fun! ;)
