The drum machine is manufactured by some other company and was been rebranded for both Alesis and medeli. This type of practice is done very commonly in many Asian countries. For serious buyers just go with what's cheaper.
Hello Doc Otep, I have a question: I have the Compact kit7, but with the Hand Perc OFF, I have to hit the snare pad exactly in the middle of it (within 3cm) for it to trigger properly. Anything around that is very quiet. Is that the same with yours, or is mine faulty? Thanks!
That's the problem with that kit, Alesis or Medeli. The pads seem not to work or sound properly when hit. What we're doing is just TURN ON the Hand Percussion function. The pads will sound the same level whether you hit it light or hard. The problem is that it the DYNAMICS of playing will be lost. That's it, it will sound hard even if it is meant to sound light.
How well does this connect with a DAW, and are you able to map your own drum samples to the pads?? I need a device that will trigger my samples when played so I can record live directly in FL Studio. Is the Medeli DD315 what I’m looking for? Thanks for the help!
Late reply, but it might help someone else: Yes, you can map the pads to any MIDI note, and you can attach the kit to a PC via USB, where the kit uses channel 10, so yes it works as pads for DAWs as well. It's very easy to configure by hitting a pad and then configure that pad specifically. Very intuitive, but I guess it's the way most digital drum kits work. I've used it via MIDI-OX to forward drum hits to my digital piano that has better drum sounds and better/stronger speakers with considerably more bass. Works fine. No delay. Good dynamics. Note that the pads don't react if you hit very lightly. I found that that's set to avoid cross-triggering between pads, which sometimes happens anyway if you hit really hard. The included foot pedals are crap, and often double-trigger (just simple switches). A piano pedal is an acceptable replacement. You can also map the kick to any pad. A digital drum pedal would be better, but also considerably more expensive.
@@AndersBorgSweden What would you recomend something like this (or Yamaha DD75) or more something like Milenium NonaPad need both for recording and let's say smaller gigs ?
@@vladimird5280 I guess you get what you pay for. Those you mention have considerably more drum sounds and seem better overall. Not that I'm unhappy with the DD315. It serves my use (and budget) pretty well. Thomann has all these pads (DD315 is Millenium MD-90) for easy comparison.
So it just means the Alesis is more expensive because of the brand only. I saw it in the store, it costs 12k php and the Medeli only costs 8k php. Good thing I didn't buy the Alesis!
I just subcribed to your channel sir... Your content in your channel helps me some other in things in regard on medeli dd315. Anyways, is there any chimes sound on medeli dd315? What value is it? Thanks
Hello Doc Otep, sino po distributor nitong medeli sa metro manila?meron ba to sa malalaking music store?base on this video, mas interesado akong bilhin na lang yung medeli kung same lang nmn sila, yung ibang seller kase like JB eh masyadong mahal, nsa 13k ung alesis ngaun, this video is very helpful, thanks
I have a medeli DD309 na exactly same lng dn ng PYLE PTED06. no difference at all.
Yup. Daihatsu brand yun, pero rebranded as Toyota. Sa generators, common din yan. Yung Bosco generator namin, ngayon rebranded as Powerbox na.
Di pa namin nasubukan paps. Wala kaming Yamaha. Actually, di na namin ginagamit yan, nakatambak na. Yung Alesis Strike Pro kasi ang madalas namin gamitin.
@@DocOTEPStudio salamat. new subscriber mo nga pala ako. monetized na pp ba itong channel?
Hi. Mas maganda kung naka direct line in, as is yung tunog, kesa sa built in speaker.
Salamat Doc. Nag try ako ikabit kickpad ng Ringway TD82, di gumana, baka kako meron na para sa Medeli natin...Thanks po again and more power to your channel
Meron kaming bagong eDrums.
Sayang kasi viewers at potential subscribers.. Gawa na ASAP.. More power Doc OTEP!!
