This segment is from an Italian program from years ago. Alessandroni and friends play some of the best melodies made famous in Morricone scored "Spaghetti Westerns" of the 1960's. The sound is haunting, soulful and completely HIS!
All those which have been the spaghetti western, who will be able to get a melodic drive by a hand of an artist and a magic whistle like that of Alessandro Alessandroni? 👏👏👏🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎺🎺🎺🎺😗😗😗😗😗😗
RIP Alessandro Alessandroni 1925-2017 The Whistler hard to believe he was approaching Middle Age when he originally recorded his Beautiful Whistling In The Mid Sixties It Shows He Lived A Long Life

Wow! So cool. I had forgotten those plaintive melodies from the old Westerns, but that brought it all back. The windy, wild west, the lone cowboy riding through the sagebrush, face in shadow under his dusty Stetson, the mustangs black tail blowing in the wind. Love it!
I once edited and posted a much more "low res" version of Alessandroni doing his guitar/whistle thing over a decade ago and have gotten many warm comments on it. Found this one yesterday and immediately was taken back into the magic of his wonderfully controlled whistling. It's like he's a keyboard synth hitting the notes ... but it's all HIM just hearing them and making them happen in the open air. A unique talent. He died just a few years ago, but his magic lingers on.Hope you're doing well in this COVID time. We were all set to see another corner of Europe last Sept but the world had other ideas. Maybe NEXT Sept?...Bob T. up near Denver
Guardo e ascolto. Chiudo gli occhi anche io. E piango.
Talenti e geni in tutto.
There is no contest, as alessandroni interprets, the whistle, the voice. He collaborated with everyone at the time. I didn't even know that the voice that interprets "mah na mah na" later used for the theme song of the Muppets and Benny hill is also his
This is really nice but how does he do it? I can hit some of the low notes. When I try to hit the high notes I have to switch to different octave and I can't get the power or speed. Seems like the man is part bird.
