The real reason I love the Ghostbusters: They’re not superheroes. They don’t have chiseled abs or huge muscles. They’re just your normal, friendly neighborhood Plumbers who clear the ghosts out of your drain.
@@SadisticMindz To be fair, I think they up-charged their first job because they were very broke. I seriously doubt their services were usually that expensive afterward.
Even now 30 years on I still get goosebumps and have a huge smile on my face when I hear this song and see it in the movie. Still the best sounds tracks of all time
God I want to watch this movie again after hearing this track especially considering 2024 is the 40th anniversary of the movie and the whole franchise!
+Comedy 3.9 I must have watched a different Ghostbusters 2016 movie, just watched it. The version I watched was terrible, wish I watched your version instead.
Comedy 3.9 Although I haven't looked yet but I heard that on Rotten Tomatoes they're deleting all the negative comments about the movie. I don't want to see the new movie and it's for these reasons: The jokes look like they're all stereotype. I can't see how anyone can call this a reboot. The logo's the same. The outfits the same. Even the equipment is still the same. (Okay except for some new gadgets I saw in the trailer.) When Nolan rebooted Batman he changed the symbol from the previous movies and Batmans toys and Bat-mobile.
If heaven exists... I hope it's a place where I get to be a ghostbuster in New York City in the 80s getting cheered and applauded everywhere I go and Sigourney Weaver inexplicably loves me. If not then what's the point, ya know?
This song is arguably the best song in the movie, save for the awesome theme song of course. Savin The Day played at the best part of the movie too, when the Ghostbusters rid themselves of the dickless micro tyrant Walter Peck and are given permission by the mayor to try to stop the end of the world form happening. Ecto 1 driving through the streets with its wailing siren and its flashing lights, in the midst of a police escort is just such an iconic image. I had the best childhood. I was five when this movie came out. Then there was the cartoon that followed, then a few years later the sequel to the movie. Movies today suck with a few rare exceptions. The new Ghostbusters movie was all about CGI and political correctness. It lacked everything that made the original movie such an endearing classic.
Kevin Eagle Same feelings here. I remember having the VHS for this movie and rewinding that scene with Ecto 1 wailing down the street with the National Guard and NYPD in tow. Now I have a 4K tv and the 35th anniversary Blu-ray collection, I’m in heaven.
When the song was playing on Ghostbusters (1984), the soldiers are coming aboard the trucks to protect the city, and the NYPD cars were escorting to the Ecto-1 and two USA Army trucks were following them as help. Soon in Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2020), the Ecto-1 was leaving a Police station to the area where it was happening the paranormal actions.
God dammit I'm here from, well you know where I'm from. you'd think I'd already had known this song, upon finding the Leitmotif, put the song in a whole new perspective, hats off to one of the most creative manga artist for incorporating this and many other masterpieces into his work.
'C'mon let's run some red lights!' My boy Peter knows they're heading to the carnage - and he can't get there quicker...that's my boy! Marvel and DC ain't got s**t on my Ghostbusters!
