To everyone hating on Alesso for playing a set that A) Flows well. and B) Fits a festival. you need to realize somethin, he can't play strictly progressive house. For multiple reasons. One reason is that he's progressing and experimenting as an artist. Another reason is he's playing music he enjoys and that he's happy to play for a crowd. He isn't ignoring his long term fans. He gave us the best parts of his set, the intro and the last 15-20 minutes. I've been listening to him since around when Clash was released and I stick by him because I know he's growing as an artist and making music that he enjoys making.

Guys music is evolving constantly and progressive house is simply not as popular anymore. Alesso is one of the few people that still play it at the big stages. Look at his remix of something just like this" for example. He played trap for a combined 6 min of a 60 min set and even though I dislike it I accept it. The switching between music styles is why I rate him as my favourite DJ live. The bass house, jungle terror, progressive mix make it amazing for me!

That intro.... took my breath away! I've loved Alesso for many years now and while this set was perfect for Ultra Miami mainstage, it's certainly not one of Alesso's best sets. I don't blame him, a DJ has to please the crowd to some aspect and he does that well. All in all I'd give this set a 7.5/10.
