Awesome video, appreciate the information. really enjoying playing this guy, he's unbelievably fun. I just can't wait for more people to figure him out more so someone can enlighten me- still trying to figure out what he should be doing on an opponent's wake up. for now i've just been throwing out the boot hoping they'll try and press a button.

EX Stomp is +2 on block so you could do stuff like throw out st.MP afterwards and beat out a light

The stomp is a better fireball punish. It comes out faster and gives a hard knockdown. The headbutt is better for setups coming out of his cr. jab and cr. short kicks.

@jmcrofts I think the intended uses for non ex stomp is 1) predicted fireball punish that gets you knockdown and gives you oki 2) can maybe mix up with Headbutt as the moves look really similar. Jumping out of headbutt is good but I think jumping out of stomp is bad, and vice versa for blocking

Usually in SF3 when you use crouching HP as an anti-air you actually want it to trade. When it trades he recovers fast enough to combo his DP+K move (rising air grab.) I would test to see what is possible after a Trade Cr Hp.

I currently switched from Smash 4 to SFV. I always was interested in Fighting Games like SF and so I watched a lot of Guide and Streams and stuff about SFV. I have alot of knowledge but I tend to lose against players who play cheap. I'm using Alex and I'm not that good with combos and stuff. To come to my question: Should I spent more time in the training mode or online? Another question: Flash Chop into Super is quiet easy when I do the motion for the super and throw in a punch after the first circle. But when I have to do smt like LP > Chop > Super, I'm not fast enough to do 2 cancels in a row. Can I make it easier?

I believe if you cr.lp, cr.lp, you can follow with light stomp or stun gun.

Normally play as Karin, but Alex might be my new favorite.

He's got everything but his Flying DDT. Stun Gun is a nice trade off though

they toned Alex down in this one and he really didn't need that smh
