Used to skate with bro back in the day in Overland Park, Ks. We were older than him, but he still skated better. lol. Called him "Grommet". lol. Bro was always dope. Glad he stuck with it. If you read this bro, Holla at me next time you come back home to KC. Its Bj.
This is the problem with rollerblading. Every here is "super tech" but its really not, a small grind now is stylish and hard, and it honestly looks stupid. Back in the old days everyone did huge stuff which was insane but now its all this stupid "tech" jibs on small rails and it looks ridiculous.
A few things: 1. MOST of the stuff done in this video is quite difficult, especially to do with control, and I'm going to assume you don't rollerblade at a remotely advanced level because otherwise you'd understand this 2. no one is going to drop hammers and risk getting permanently injured getting paid hundreds to a few thousand max, people back then had more incentive to do shit like that because there was actually money involved. 3. Broskow is in his early to mid 30s in this video. If you watch his earlier shit he's already done all that stuff. Skaters aren't superhuman dude. Eventually knees, ankles, backs give out. Stop hating
Damn son. I'm gonna try and help you understand. Rollerblading was mainly upheld by those very OGs that did that gnarly shit. Lots are broken from it. Countless stopped because they didn't look as good doing it and quit before 30. The majority of rollerbladers are in their 30s. Broskow is 35 or 36 now, Billy O'neal in his 30s, Jeff Stockwell, Franky Morales, etc. Boys wanna keep skating they gotta tone it down. Give some attention to the skills that were neglected in the big handrail and gaps days. Like riding backwards, transition, lines. The days of grinding a handrail into the grass are thankfully over. Rollerbladers are realizing It's not about what you do, but how you do it. Style matters. It lasts longer too.
Victor Arias doesnt do this "tech" bullshit. And he's got killer style. Which is why he's my favorite. Farmer doesnt do this either. He still does huge handrails and stuff. Not these "tech" jibs. Its bullshit you all like this "new era" blading. Most people i show this to say it looks dumb honestly. So go fuck yourselves you assholes.
What the hell man. First of all, these tricks look sick as hell. Alex's roll a way is steeze on steroids. If all you wanna see is hammers, you can go watch some other video, or better yet watch one of the fail videos and see that people nearly die doing them and they should not be your go to for a skate sesh .
