Alex and Kara used to have a competitive nature where Alex did feel inferior to Kara in many ways because of Kara's superpowers and because she's extremely intelligent, not that Alex isn't herself because she's proven herself to be very knowledgable in the science department. But she also trained Kara to fight, despite her more "fragile" body than Kara she still continues to put her life on the line every single day. That clip you're referring to was a time before Alex was part of the DEO, where she did feel inferior to Kara in many ways.

@@ItsATwinThingYT Yes to just about everything you just told me; but the tendency towards jealousy doesn't go away that quickly, and she did hint that she remained jealous of her, just got more control over it within herself- and here's where she was simply outstanding: if she didn't think she could control it: she pulled back to avoid hurting her. It's darn typical of the elder or eldest child to become the "protector" of the other children in the family- always tends to happen. But "Red K Kara" was basically a bully towards her; all things considered, thus her taunting and focusing on Alex's feelings, not how she elected to respond to them. Yes, she did, I can see her possibly being hooked up with martial arts schools to take some classes, say a famous Karate school in the region for instance, by "Hank Henshaw", or whom they *think* is Hank Henshaw, but is really Jonn Jonzz, the new "daddy figure" they wound up with- and his drama with their family and their dad is exactly what can come about if the biological father is thought of as passed away and his "successor" takes over the job of caring for his family- like "war buddies" situations might've happened in wars like the Vietnam war in US history- one man is badly injured, or disappeared to the custody of the NVA and his best friend was maneuvered by him to take care of his family if something untoward happened to him while on mission, and the kids think he himself did something to steal his friend's family- it's almost exactly like that between Jeremiah Danvers and Jonn Jonzz and the Danvers' family. I do most heartily agree that they care about oneanother, but even in their most competitive days they still cared deeply for eachother, as demonstrated by their teen scenes almost throughout the series but in "snippit flashbacks" between the characters of their past days. I think Alexandra has a very level head about aliens, she has very familial bonds with a number of them, her cousin, Clark, is himself an alien, cousin by way of Kara, her stepsister that is.

@@ItsATwinThingYT Yes to just about everything you just said to me in this reply- I fully agree, but jealousy temptations do not go away so quickly- human nature really. What Alex seems to be going through here is is a mix of sibling rivalry and deep charity: remember how they were in the teen scenes in their "flashback scenes" throughout the series thus far? Well, that's a sampling of their views, and when Kara got infected by Red K, she turned really into a bully- her remarks to Alex were bullying: an attempt to pick a fight in a nutshell. As regards to Alexandra's training; I can see Jonn Jonz arranging her to be able to take classes in a martial arts studio for some "on the town training" in self-defense- something he would do as their new "daddy figure", after his deal with their dad, Jeremiah Danvers. And their conflict with him is exactly what I could see might've happened in regards to a situation in say the Vietnam War with regard to one man maneuvering his best friend to take over care for his family if he doesn't come back from a mission, and in this case he gets captured and disappeared by the NVA on a mission, and they just can't seem to find him for quite a while- and like the Commies in Vietnam would, Jeremiah was badly brainwashed and turned against his own family by the time he gets back to them. Interestingly enough, it's Kara's boyfriend, Mike who sees through this situation, perhaps due to wargames with his own family at the palace on Daxam training him to defend himself that he realized he should sound an alarm- I could see that happening too, so all his training comes rushing back to him when this situation comes up and he's all like "Guys, doesn't anybody else think this's all too convienient?"; that kind of an alert is what he sounds. They slipped up on an awful *lot* regarding security procedures in reference to Jeremiah Danvers, even if he was "solid" as the gangsters say, they should make certain that's the case *before* they let him have access to sensitive data that could do real harm- I know he's the daddy of these gals, but that's still hazardous to all, and he turned out to be akin to Anakin Skywalker in a lot of ways before the end of that scenario in their lives- that wrecked Alexandra. And that brings up other things, it is natural that the eldest child take on the mantle of "protector" of the others- I know that myself, but sometimes that means staying away from the rest of your family until you're sure *you're* in control of yourself. Referencing my second paragraph: Alex does love Kara, but she's also very competitive with her, and to some degree that's good, but also can do real harm if it gets out of control. Another thing to Alex's benefit is the amount of aliens in her family unit, she's pretty level-headed and clear-sighted around and about them, as she's also kin to Clark Kent through his cousin being her stepsister. Talk about having nonhumans in your own biological family- that's one way this series, and that universe, including the entire "Superman franchise" is very useful to me indeed as well: a visualization of relationships as my Maker would desire it to function, based on His "last will and testament" (legal speak for dying wishes- just to clarify.).

@@ItsATwinThingYT Addendum: there's a big difference between *feeling* something and *consenting* to said feelings; Alex for a while in their teen years consented to resenting Kara's gifts, but later on grew out of that and developed self-mastery over it. Then there's the element of how Kara was bullying her while under the influence of Red K, so to be mean she dredges up Alexandra's jealousy. Another major example of the difference between *feeling something and acting upon said feelings* is how both of them tend to be tempted towards "bad romances": Alex towards other girls, and Kara towards her ex-boyfriend Mike, who by the way when their dad came back from captivity he is the only one who realizes something's amiss, and sounds an alarm- perhaps remembering his days of training in the palace of Daxam as their future ruler he'd need training in how to handle fake guards and other hazards without things blowing up big time on his face if things go sideways in that case- when he comes back for a while, even though he's married, Kara finds her old love interest affections flaring up regarding him- granted, if acted upon that'd be *way worse* overall, and in detail too!
