Yeah dude, a fit athlete would’ve hit it perfectly with no guidance on their first try 👍 Edit: Since the thumbs up wasn't enough, I was being sarcastic
@@TuckerArmentroutI can drop some good videos that I recommend I started a month ago, I just focusing nothing but swing and form. Now I am driving 190+ consistently straight, the distance comes with time, but form help’s consistently. I have a cheap $200 set, but I am gonna spend money here in a couple months on a Taylor Made set that matches my height the club set I have is a Standard height so it is awkward having bend down more.
@@OfficialFishyGameryes but if you actually played golf which I doubt you do since you seem to know nothing about it many golfers have many different swing styles.
Can we all appreciate the friend off camera being so nice? He was explaining, but also didn't feel the need to correct him or take any of he guy's joy away. Just "do whatever makes you happy"
That’s how golf and golf friends should be!! It. Is. A. Game. Something done for pleasure. The necessarily competitive people who take it too seriously suck a lot pf energy from the rest of us. In less words, they SUCK.
This is why more people need to try golf to understand how difficult it is, and understand the pros deserve every single penny they make with their tournament earnings
Power comes from your core and hips! Swivel those thangs! Also keep your right elbow tucked and your left arm straight! And at your resting backswing your club should be almost parallel to the ground! Hope that helps ❤🎉
Great! Toying with the idea of golf when you are young is a wonderful idea . You learn the moves you become social , and when life takes over in your 30-40’s you will not have time BUT… with your 50’s and beyond you start to have more time . The moves come back and when you retire you will have a lot of fun without being a beginner . It is so hard to start something new as a beginner in your 50-60’s and hey if you walk a course that’s 16 thousand steps in 4 hours
@@desolate1907 I’m the strongest natural tested lifter in the world… I’m literally the person who can talk the most. Go back to glazing over Alex who had 12 inch arms measured and baby legs 🤦🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@urnotonmylevel1843 it is and in fact it’s the hardest if u don’t take my word take michael jordan’s word who is arguable the best athlete of all time
@@Trellevateswinging a golf club like that is very unusual to new guys. Saying he is unathletic because he didn’t swing perfectly on his first try is outrageous.
@@Sleepy_Douche yes it is my friend, not as physically taxing as football and basketball but if you don’t have hand eye coordination you’re cooked. Also ask Tiger fucking Woods if golf isn’t a sport.
@@JodiTryHardidk why this is an argument? he claims to be a body builder, not a golf athlete. plus being good at literally anything just means hard work and hitting a golf ball once won’t make you tiger woods so what’s ur point?
@@lummy3180 it’s not an argument I’m just making a general observation. It’s not that deep, I get a general concept is that body builders don’t have to be athletic. You’re thinking too hard about it man, it was just a good laugh. Typically the most shredded guys suck at ball and shit it’s pretty funny.
@@JodiTryHardsucking at golf isnt really an indicator of anything though, it just means youve never played golf. You’re the one reading too deep into it. Never played golf in my life but I grew up playing football. My swing probably looks just like his. Golf is just a white middle class pastime and not an athletic endeavor
Are people really this dumb judging a man who has never swung a golf club before? No one is swinging like a pro quickly. It takes time.. golf isn’t about athleticism, it’s about learning technique that you won’t have your first times.
I get that you aren’t going to hit it good at first but you can tell whether the swing is athletic or not right away. Like you said, golf isn’t much about athleticism but you can tell when an athlete swings a club.
God Bless!!!! Know that HE loves you so so much!!!!! For he sent his only son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins!!!! Know that anything is possible through Christ!!!! Glory be to God!!!!!
Those sneakers... I hate those... There are 2 guys from my dance class who are absolutely TERRIBLE dancers and they wear the same type of sneakers that make people look like they got some huge ahh feet, it make them look goofy like some old cartoon characters and I laugh inside when I see them being all serious because they think they're good. 😂😂😂
I remember it like yesterday well it was yesterday I went to top golf and I was beating everybody and the only other practice I had was at Academy sports
All those muscles do no good unless you know how to generate power. It’s great that the younger generation is into being gym rats. It’s great to be able to lift heavy and stay mobile and be able to play every sport out there. That beats just looking good in a beater.
Gotta love when golfers act all high and mighty like theyre some power athlete. What you do is akin to playing pool or throwing darts. Swinging a golf club is not intuitive. Its just practice and technique, if youve never swung a club how are you supposed to know how to golf? You probably grew up playing and most people have never golfed. You can know how to generate power and still not know how to swing a club. Its something that takes practice. You saying that is like saying people who don’t know how to play guitar don’t have good coordination. Meanwhile theres plenty of NFL wide receivers who cant play guitar
He’s getting Terrible advice. Never keep your arms straight. You’re not Bryson DeChambeau and you’re clubs aren’t all the same length and you don’t swing exactly the same with every club.
It’s amazing if you’ve actually never watch the golf swing a bunch of times you would think that’s how your suppose to swing. It’s def not comfortable to baseball players first picking up the clubs. The golf swing is one thing that there’s no perfect swing for everyone , everyone has something diff that works for them on the way back but they always are at the same point during contact. (Pros that is)
I played line backer in high school. My 1st time swinging a golf club was like 10 years after high school. I had my feet a little bit wider that shoulder length and i was in an athletic stance. My buddy told me after like the 5th swing. You look like you're about to hit someone. Relax, bring your feet closer and flat on the ground and try to swing slower. I swore i needed to be in an athletic stance to play all sport 🤦♂️
FYI when the club is at the ball your arms and the club should make the letter “y” as you bring back the club you should keep it like that and most golfers in PGA Tour keep it all the way around after the shot.
Do what you like asides bending the front arm, there's bad form in golf then way past that there's bending the front arm. Some beginners find that hard which I can't explain because it always seemed obvious to me. Just tense the front tricep so your arm can't bend, that's literally all you have to do.
So many haters in the comments. You can't expect him to get a good swing on his first try, it has nothing to do with athleticism. Golf is different from basketball or football or other sports. Dumbass comments yall making
Not athletic. Im amazed how some “bodybuilders” are only good at the gym and not necessary in applying all those muscles and training correctly in any sport.
buff people are not necessarily athletic, I got a gut yet can throw a football 70 yards, first time ever golfing and was out Swinging people who had done it for years. Natural gifts cannot be replicated
I have a buddy that just got into golf. Swings just like this guy and he thinks I’m negative when I tell him we would finish dead last in a scramble tournament 😅 Very ignorant but I respect his confidence lol
This is why I can completely outdrive people who are taller and more built than I am... Technique is everything. If he was taught a real swing, he could really send it though.
Also put your left thumb under your right thumb bend your knees put your head a little bit to the right side of the ball keep you eyes on the ball pick your arms up with your right shoulder and drop your arms down with your left and right hand and there you go
