Delicate angst with hushed vocals over hanging distorted guitar melodies, a sorta pre-ironic sincerity. I’ve come back to this video around 20 times now to better form my understanding of this song. As a huge Alex G fan, at first, I thought the video was subversively mocking something and wasn’t sure on my feeling towards the composition. Now, I’m getting the feelings I get from the 70’s prog group, Goblin and horror soundtrack maestro Dario Argento. I’m glad I persisted. Thank you, Alex G.
