I just wish accountability for these people would stop "looming" and _actually happen._ That'd be nice.

I don't think he said anything specifically about Sandy Hook victims or their families. He spoke in general terms about them, so how can they say he defamed them? Is it a class action suit by all of them or just a couple of families got their feelings hurt?

As a former bankruptcy attorney and trustee, I have to say that there is a very high probability that the Court will dismiss these bankruptcy cases as abusive filings. Generally, bankruptcy cannot be used to evade state or federal litigation pending to determine either liability or value of outstanding tort claims, in part because such claims would have to be determined in the bankruptcy cases anyway, and the pending state cases here are well on the way procedurally to doing the same job. Once the value of such claims has been litigated, Jones may be allowed to refile the bankruptcy cases to manage how they will be paid. My guess is that this is the last thing he really wants to do, and these case filings were just an ill-advised, short term effort to stall the state cases going to trial on schedule. This sort of abuse of the bankruptcy system is extremely common, and the system is equipped to deal with it, both quickly and harshly. Jones needs better lawyers at this level.

The day this man finally pays for what he did to those families is a good one. I have no idea how he found the evil to do that. It's bugged me for years.
