Alex Knost pays homage to The Campbell Bros and their revolutionary surfboard design, the Bonzer.
The Bonzer was the first standardized tri-fin surfboard created in 1970 by Malcolm and Duncan Campbell. Over the past year, Knost's friendship with the Campbell Bro's has become a catalyst for several retrospective art exhibitions, exclusive clothing collections, and custom shaped boards.

I love the Campbell Brothers who planted the seed and brought their concept to Bing Bonzers are f****** fast!! The bigger and hollower the wave for a bonzer no problem! Mike Eaton and Ace who continued to supply us with bonzers! And continue the legacy of the Campbell Brothers!

Agree. I lived in P.B. and surfed Eaton eggs and Campbell 5 fins. Best rides all my life were on Eaton eggs. Most in the 7'0" to 7' 8" range.

Every surfer should really look at new and innovative concepts for surfing! I used to surf at night wearing a light on my head! Wave parks when there's no surf! Keep innovating!

Circa 1973 I was living at The Cliffhouse and riding Bonzer number 100 I let some of my bro's in Mussle Shoals ride it. Soon it got to the point where I had to go look for it so I could ride it. It was a very popular stick.

Yeah I had a G&S Bonzer back in the day. Still like it more than fukn thrusters (the design that killed individuality!)

I agree! I had both a Bing Bonzer, then a Campbell Brothers 5 fin Bonzer shaped by Choice Surfboards in San Diego. Later I had the two 5 fin variations of the Bonzer shaped by ACE Surfboards in Ocean Beach. These were some of the best boards I've ridden. While the thrusters were ok, I never really got into them. I guess I liked thinking outside the box.

so funny- thats style? really. a bunch of flicking of the head and tossing the hands and you get a paycheck. ok maybe its not about the surfing so much as the persona but that too. so awesomely original dude
