Guys, the order that Devon and I pulled are shown incorrectly in this video. Roman didn't know and edited this in wrong order. 9:42 this is when we started. The first pulling that this video shows is actually the last one we pulled.
If you take Vitaly you would need Ermes after it. You cant jump from Vitaly to Levan because Vitaly lost to Ermes. You would need to be #2 to get a shot. You can only be #2 if you beat Ermes. Devon left the game..
@@user-pb7pr3di8m I don't agree.. don't u think that many times u don't need to win against someone who beated someonelse to be stronger then the second one? for example Ermes-Larratt-Genadi... "Styles makes matches". And even the day can change the results. u mentioned Ermes vs Vitaly which ended 3-2. u're not even talking of a dominant match like levan vs larratt (6-0 and 4-0). I suggest no to make these dumb rankings in a sport when ppl makes 3 or 4 matches for year... U can't say anything unless these matches are like Levan's where is clearly the strongest.
@@samuelericotta9243 I dont believe in proxy. If Devon is #2 he should beat #2. Of course you could go PROXY (but i wouldnt advice), PROXY is basically you look the Devon vs Georgie match and then see if Alex does better. But for this to be moderately enough is that the opponent is NOT injured like Georgie was. Of course if Levan wants he can pull whoever he wants, i just cant understand the hype around Alex. Who did Alex already beat? Genadi? Ermes? Devon? No, Georgie doesnt count for me. I agree with your views on rankings.
Would love to see these two (somehow) become sparring partners. I think Alex's size - being 340 pounds - would (have) help(ed) Devon better prepare for Levan. No, it doesn't mean he would have won, but that level of strength and size would have been a great pairing with the lifts he was doing. Concurrently, Devon's ability to teach literally everything to Alex would be priceless for him at this stage. That stuff at 22:00 minutes when Devon starts teaching Alex all sorts of tricks of the hand is stuff that athletes would pay thousands of dollars to learn.
Amazing pull! 12:40-13:05 is every armwrestlers nightmare against Devon (thinking about Georgi). And both Devon and Alex acknowledge if Devon did some bicep work, he would be unstoppable.
@@DamianC_23 Even if he did let alex win, Alex is still a beast. He's ranked 5th in EvW super heavyweight category. He could be future #1 right hand one day
I don’t think there’s anybody out there in the past, present, or (foreseeable) future who will have the knowledge of armwrestling that Devon has. He’s got his “PHD” in this sport, and has earned everyone’s respect with his amazing career 💪🏼🧠
@@jamesestrada82Ermes is stronger? So is Dennis. Power isn't be all end all, but being an entire person heavier helps. So does bringing that power to the table
Alex is one of my favorites and this is practice, but devon looks like he'd either get a stop or alex would get multiple elbow fouls called in a official match.
Well yes I think Devon has clearly established himself as currently #2 in the world but Alex is definitely right in the mix. Left arm Alex would kill him, right arm in a real match I think Devon gets the brakes on either round 1 or 2 and it’s over
@@zGJungleTravis is supposedly locked in for the next east v west event and i think Engin is pushing for Devon vs Travis on left at his first American event
@@marLamaDeo Travis vs Devon is not happening this year yet, for sure since Devon started training his left. Travis will need more time, most likely he will never defeat Devon ever again, would like to see it tho!
I think if Alex was training with Devon before the Levan match, Devon would have probably done better. This is extreme training, which is needed before reaching Levan. IMO
@@xocomaoxYa Levan did have close to a 150lb advantage which is a phenomenal difference. I think Levans steroid regimen is pretty dangerous and not even Devon would take that risk.
with this kind of training Devon would be beat up for more than 8-9 days, he would be way weaker compared to his peak on april 20th. You dont do 400 lbs bench over and over again in the prep when your max is 380. This is what they are doing here, its not training.
It’s so awesome watching you two spar. Two of my favorite personalities in the sport ❤ Alex keep training with Devon and then Levan may be in trouble 😈
This is a treat to watch. I totally believe in what Devon said, you have a great chance against Levan buddy. Just keep getting stronger and you'll do it someday. Good job Alex.
Hey Alex I’m curious if you and Devon ever practiced pulled when he was prepping for any of the super heavyweights? He said he weighed 255 here.. have you ever pulled him when he was around 275 and did it make much of a difference?
I remember John saying weightlifting never helped him on the table but I think its different for at least Super Heavyweights. Devon never had the physical strength of an elite top super heavyweight. He relied on superior technique and arm wrestling specific training. Devon always said he can't get bigger then a certain weight. I believe this is because he never also applied general weight lifting to his program. You got Levan being 400lbs doing sets of 10 chin ups, curling crazy weight, benching big weight, just overall weight lifting AND arm wrestling specific lifts. This is where I think Devon went wrong. He always said he's not good at lifting weights. Well even if your not, you gotta start somewhere and progress over time right? If he applied both types of training years ago and worked his overall strength he likely would've been better suited to face Levan. All the stem cell treatments he did worked great for making him feel great and have a healthier arm but it didn't increase any type of strength. It just helped him not let Levan break his arm again lol.
Alex is super duper strong but got stopped by an off-cycle & untrained & tired Devon. And this was despite INSANE elbow fouls & often favorable starting positions. You could say Alex is not peaked either but he's def closer to his peak shape from two weeks ago than Devon is rn. Point is, I think in a real supermatch, Devon very likely stops Alex close to center & by Alex' own admission Devon's endurance feels ridiculous to him. If Devon got destroyed by Levan... then FOR NOW.... Alex doesn't have a chance. He still needs a LOT of time before he can truly challenge him.
@@MoviezGamesand untrained?you can't train either way a week prior to a match so you can't say he s untrained, only the 2 other points are available but those apply to kurdecha aswell
I have a question if anyone knows: I know for the pronation lift you’re supposed to kick back your wrist but is it the same for rising? Or do I just keep my wrist straight with my forearm?
