Oh yeah!! Can't adequately express my JOY at seeing and listening to these musicians. This 65 year old didn't grow up with this music but I am sure glad that it is featured here on RU-vid. WONDERFULLY entertaining. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! 💕🎶🙂
Tight - this would've been a major player band in the day! Love the song -- two ticks to the guy on banjo next to the clarinets with the active eyebrows, throwing focus where its needed.
I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR YOUR AWESOME ORCHESTRA PLAY, "I Was Only Teasing You"!!! And a GREAT Fox Trot version of "When The White Lilac`s Bloom Again" Songs used in the 1931 Movie "Night Nurse" Staring Barbra Stanwick, Jone Blondell, Ben Lion, Clark Gable!!
Congrats on your masterful ability to play this brilliant transcription of a Coon-Sanders Orch. hit record from 1929! Your orchestra sounds just like them! What an achievement it is to have played the famous Savoy Hotel where the Savoy Orpheons did so many years ago! I'm sure Cedric Gibbons would be so delighted to have heard your brilliant retro orchestra play there, recalling his heyday! Who is the talented fellow who transcribed this arrangement off the record? He did a brilliant job of it and deserves praise. 😊
That is me. I've done over 100 transcriptions. Maybe fifty Coon-Sanders and all the Tiny Parham. Thousands of hours of work over 20 or so years. Thanx for the shout out.
This worked well. I had an exceptional stock of same to work from. Even so, it was quite a bit of fussing.....ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FvD0uJEDbLA.htmlsi=2VYD5wLmIF4eIwAK
@@theoldlefthander Well sir, I think you are awesome! Transcribing ain't easy! Just for fun, go And hear Withered Roses at roybo1930. I think it's off label Coon Sanders! This time they try to disguise their sound, but After the vocal, the style comes through! They use Another physeudonym like " the Manhattan merrymakers" or something like that. It's a sweet 1928 bootleg side, on Broadway label? You'd never guess it's by Coon Sanders till after the vocal. !!! Say, did you also transcribe 2reelers tune, Skinner's Sock? Another great Coon Sanders transcription! Congrats again and thankyou for your masterful work!

This is not the time for stallin', Let me go right through 'cause I've got work to do. Gotta give my feet some action, gotta hurry on my way, Got a great big date with a little bitty girl I love. Got a very sweet attraction, got a lot of things to say. Got a great big date with a little bitty girl I love. She's got a quiet apartment with a davenport for two, I'm gonna try it tonight, if it's the last thing that I do. Gotta pop that certain question, gotta give my nerve a shove, Got a great big date with a little bitty girl I love. She's fat and funny, her shoulders leave up Where her lap begins, but she's got money, That covers up a multitude of sins. Got a wedding ring selected, and it fits her like a glove, Got a great big date with a little bitty girl I love.
