To be clear, there are three very legit Stanley Cups out there...none of the three are replicas. One is in the HHOF, one here, and one is elsewhere.

I think the league does a terrible job really promoting their players into the brand names they should be. I mean honestly you may not even like basketball but everyone knows who LeBron is, who Steph is, KD, Kobe, MJ etc. You can’t do the same for Hockey players. Maybe Gretzky. If they can have players doing things like this it would make them look a lot more interesting

I am not a big hockey fan and don't really follow it during the regular season. But I do watch playoff hockey and it is awesome. For many years I would hear about Alexander Ovechkin, ''The Great 8''. So I began to follow the guy because I have an appreciation for greatness in any sport. I rooted for this guy so hard in this playoffs because he has been great for a long time but his teams would fall short year after year. I am so happy that he finally won the Stanley Cup. Well done Alex and congratulations to the Washington Capitals.

Ovi was already a huge star in the DC area and very well known by all hockey fans, but this win and his pure joy, has cemented him as not just one of the greatest players ever, but also as one of the most likable players. I can't wait for his HHOF acceptance speech.

After all the stuff Ovi has had to go through, all the expectations, the comparisons, it was really weighing on him but he was still such a good guy about it......and now he finally has the Cup and he deserves it. Ovechkin will no longer be overlooked and he goes down automatically as one of the all time greatest now. From a Crosby fan. Congrats OVI!!!

I don't agree. These guys are not media trained in the same way as most of the celebs that come on his show. Ovie and Holtby both seemed to be out of their comfort zones - Fallon was doing the right thing trying o get the conversation going in different directions, otherwise they'd be sitting there having an awkward moment. Happy to see Ovie finally win it!
