One of the best walkouts I’ve seen. He was so stoic yet intense. He wasn’t trying to let the music hype him up or anything. It’s like he was legitimately an Amazonian warrior heading to war.
Actually, Alex is known as a Pataxó warrior. This tribe is located at Bahia, northeast of Brazil. Amazonian warriors are from the north of Brazil! Beautiful culture from our native people
He did it’s a ritual we do in Brazil, no matter your background a lot of us Brazilians do this sort of ritual, every time I leave the US and go back home and do same sort of ritual.
I was at this fight with my wife and let me tell you, this is probably the most intense walkout i seen. This guy is different from most fighters. He's pretty deep, dark and intense. What a main card too. But this walkout gave me the chills.
But he will wait from the octagon, since champs entrance comes second. Is worse, he will be looking at death itself coming to him, while this song is playing. And different from this walkout, the next one Pereira's arrow will have a target waiting for him.
This is simply the best entrance song to a fighter. It suits Poatan perfectly, especially with the war painting at the faceoffs and the tribal marching at the entrance for the championship fight. I often wonder which song I would walkout to at a fight - even though i'm not a fighter - but it would probably be a Sepultura or Pantera song.
I can’t stop watching this Lol. I’m a Izzy fan but I couldn’t help but enjoy Alex’s walkout. It’s pure natural and so indigenous. Frightening and entertaining
I remember watching his walkout at home and I just couldn't stop watching lol. The look in his eyes, the way he walked, and the music was just so damn bad ass. He truly is a fierce warrior!
His early coach had indigenous roots and inspired him to research his roots as well. He found out that both his parents had Indian blood , they didn’t live in a tribe thou. since he found out about that he started to dig more into the culture and embraced it. It’s not a character since he is like this since the begging, withou the spotlights . He is a modern day warrior and the scariest fighter alive.
As a Isreal fan I have respect for this man and everything he represents for his culture from his walk out to his tribute to his tribal routes this man is a warrior and is stalking his prey everytime he steps into the ring or octagon congratulations poatan on you well deserved win 🏆
Let me tell you I was off a fat edge at this point and from this entrance to the end of a fight I was so zoned in. His walk out made everyone in the living room stfu
Their is something I really like about his walkout it’s not to over the top, it’s menacing, and just his walkout sequence is just cold AF from shooting the arrow and shadow boxing, so sick.
If you are about to fight, waiting in the cage and this song play out... RUN. The most terrifying striker in combat sport. The only glory and ufc world champion.. Living legend
I had just smoked a blunt before he walked i thought i was tripping when the music played and he started marching with the bow. What a story the ufc told in the rivarly that started in a different sport. The journey pereira had to grind out to make it to this point. Iconic
So many walkout that evoke different feelings. I'd def say this and when Mike walked out vs Michael Spinks. Two of the coldest I can think of. Most walkout just give the nerves that it's going to be a fight. These two channel death vibes.
