Ah, the leg kicks, deciding to tackle them, was a distraction. I thought Jiri bringing them up was him putting out a misdirection, that he wasn't going to worry about them. This is what happens when you listen to the internet. There's a reason he hasn't bothered with them - impedes flow and attack, lets the opponent control what you are doing in an exact moment of time. Makes you easier to set up. It was a good stoppage. Late always better than early, and everyone wants the benefit of the doubt that they can rally. Refs have to be beyond any doubt that a fighter is done before calling it. Jiri is trying to rally, hasn't given up... that means the win isn't locked in, yet. Alex did the right thing by shutting down any recovery. That's MMA.
