Khamzat called him out at 205 now 😂. People have short term memories so they don’t remember him literally turning down the 205 fight because it was “pointless”. I like khamzat but he has called out half the roster and many of them have accepted.
Chimaev fans confuse me, they told me this guy can “potentially” become champion in 3 weight classes and he’s not making any fights for none of the belts. Go thru Usman he can get the belt at 170. Fight Whitaker and get a title shot at 185. Hill relinquished his belt at 205 so beat Pereira and get a title shot up there. But he’s fighting… NOBODY

I’m big fan of khamzat but I would give the edge to Pereira in that fight. Chimaev is a fantastic wrestler but Pereira has world class kicking and striking skills that would make it difficult for Chimaev to close the distance and get on the inside where he excels the most. And if you ask any ai and google or mma experts their answer would be same. And don’t forget khamzat fights in light weight category and alex fights in light heavyweight there is significant difference between their opponents. Light heavyweight fighters are beasts.
That fight with Burns taught Khamzat a life lesson which has now turned him into a toothless dog barking non-stop. Look at how he tricked Holland after it. There's levels in the UFC and I don't see Khamzat becoming a champion at any weight class.
I agree with Periera Khamzat ducked Colby in Colby's opinion too And khamzat has made a routine of fighting the top level who are a lot smaller then him like Gilbert Burns who was a previous lightweight and Burns brought him to hell and back Khamzat also wanted to fight Nate Diaz who was 37 at the time and way past his best, of he was half as honourable as people think he is he would have looked for a young hungry challenger like himself I'll be betting on Paulo Costa to beat this man Paulo Costa has gone toe to toe with Yoel Romero and Izzy Khamzat hasn't done shit

Pereira did become everything we thought Khamzat would be. Everyone thought Chimaev would be active, smash everybody, and take 2 belts but Alex turned out to be that guy.

@@goat7728they both got their regions but I honestly disagree with Pereira being less famous than Khamzat internationally. I was there for his signing before UFC 297 and the fans absolutely loved him. Plus he became a two division champion and his rivalry with Izzy, who is more popular than Khamzat, definitely made him just as famous. Even MMA casuals know who Pereira is now. He just doesn’t have as many followers that’s all.

Kumshot was asking for Alex just 1 month since he fought adesansya. Alex has not recovered yet and cant train ofcourse he's gonna gain weight. Since kumshot was so eager to fight him Alex offered to fight at 205 3 month after he recovers hand injury. Then Kumshot got scared lol never mentioned Alex again 😂😂

As of right now Alex is 6’4 fights at 205lbs and possibly walks around at 220, champ at middle weight and LH Khamzat is 6’2 currently fights at 185, possibly walks around at 200lbs, and has not been champion at 170 or 185
