The Izzy KO made Alex so much more patient and overall way more dangerous. Also, wtf was Jiri thinking throwing a shot like that with no setup against a striker of that caliber?
@@choyjoonkithe did, but everytime you do that with a striker as good as Alex you’re taking a risk. I think he should’ve tried to wrestle more and strike less. It doesn’t matter if you’re finding success, it was a gamble every minute he stayed on his feet with Alex.
We can see in this fight how disproportionate are Alex Pereira power, Jiri has a lot of good shots but Poatan need just one clear left hook to turns the table in any fight
Everyone saw that after Jiri received several elbows to the head he fainted and fell under the hard-hitting man, what could Jiri do to Alex by hitting him from above using two sledgehammers? Did Jiri's fans want him dead?
either they really arent fans and wanted him dead, or theyre elite fighters eho wouldve done better (highly doubt) most likely theyre just salty arrogant people who are mad they lost money on a bet hahahah
I think Pereiras low kicks pushed Jiri to be more agressive and reckless. He wanted to finish it quickly and ran into left hook. Jiri must improve his defence. His stance is unique but against Blachowicz, Rakic or Pereira it will be completely shutted down.
If Jiri himself said he was out that’s all the fight fans needs to know the ref is right beside them also he can read they body language and those elbows took him out fr he was so dazed after respect to both fighters 🔥🪨🪵🪵
Jiri is a fucking chad so ofc he´s going to say that but everybody that watched it knows it was stopped early... i think its 99 % likely alex finishes him properly within another 15-20 seconds but i dont think its fair to stop the fight between two guys who are clearly warriors before its definitively over. Alex caught him but he was still concious and defending we´ve seen plenty of fighters recover from being out on their feet.
@@silenceisprecious8281 he was going to sleep Jiri bad and damage him possibly for his future and Jiri is still only 31 Wich is great age for MMa and he should have at least 2-3 years left in his prime in mma
Thats a completely hypothetical conclusion yes it looked like he was about to finish Jiri and yes it would likely have been more damaging but with that logic you just stop a fight anytime someone gets clipped and stumbles, coz they likely would have gotten finished you would have missed out on some of the most incredible fights in the sport using that absolutely pathetic logic. stop being braindead. @@AlexSmith-gw5kw
I get why people are mad. Jiri was winning that round and fight IMO and it was a counter hook that dropped him. But he took 5 shots to the head uncontested and slumped backwards. You have to admit it looked hopeless
Wow i am so fuckin shocked at the comments now ive watched this fight. "hE jUsT nEeDeD 2 sEcOnDs!" "EaRlY StOpPaGe" Mfers need to eat a hook in a chin and flurry of 20 hits to the head and see if they can last 2 extra seconds..
he's too reckless and wild.. any good counter would have taken him out it was about time. Reyes got him with some good counters but it wasn't enough and well glover just kept taking him down easily.
as did I and majority of the mma fan base, you aint special lol. Also jiri did have some success in the fight so I wouldnt call it an "ez ko" since pereira was being hit with some decent shots when jiri was pressuring him againt the fence. Alex is just too damn polished of a striker I must say, his kickboxing career is outstanding to watch.
You gotta think about it from the perspective of the Ref in there, not what the camera sees. He watched jiri drop from the hook, and then he's taking unanswered elbows to the head while in on a double leg, and suddenly he drops flat on his back. That's bad body language and a sign someone is not conscious or able to defend. I think it's a great stoppage.
LOL so you're saying Jiri should've taken 3 more seconds of damage? Do you honestly think those 3 seconds would be a "game changer"? You people are sounding 10X worse than Diaz fans 😂😂
@@dailyblessed7 Most did. It's hard for 1 or 2 not to hit the back of the head when he's moving around like that...None of them were purposeful, most were to the temple. Good stoppage...If it wasn't stopped there, it would have been within 2-3 strikes.
@@sb6232 Agreed. When the opportunity arises to finish an opponent who just got rocked, you cant pass it up. I'm sure Glover drilled that lesson into Alex's head to learn from his own mistake. Thankfully no 12-6 elbows for a DQ
He literally did the opposite of that. Gave Alex too little respect. The dude rushed in and tried to get Alex out of there ASAP cause of those crippling leg kicks from Alex really had him hurt. Be more observant.
Congratulations to Alex, however any time you see that ref you can expect an early stopage. Herb Dean and Dan should always ref the championship fights, Not this guy. His stopages always leave us debating.
@@thevileone91 rabbit punches and elbows are illegal? Not all of them elbows are illegal though. And what was the meaning of your comment though? Would you have no problem taking those rabbit punches? I think you would be surprised.
Nah, he loves Izzy and gives Izzy way too many opportunities. Just like against Sean when Marc could’ve stopped it, and Marc let Izzy hit Alex with a huge hammer fist even when he was out cold. Soooo cope? Yes, cope
@@Issacandjacob Literally the overwhelming majority of fights are supposed to let one hammerfist in. No matter the referee. That's not a late stoppage.
