Last week one of the UFC’s most famous faces made a visit to DARE.
We were honoured to watch the current UFC light heavyweight champion in action at our Bayside studio as he managed to fit in a session between commitments in Melbourne.
The MMA icon credits his ‘always on’ training strategy as the reason he can take on last minute fights, such as the recently announced main event of UFC 303. Pereira will face former champion Jiri Prochazka in a rematch which is set to take place on June 29 in Las Vegas.
Announced just 16 days before fight night, Alex took to Instagram saying "I understand that this fight is very close and there may be difficulties with the lead up time BUT if there is somebody that can make this happen it is me.”
The original headliner was between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler after McGregor was forced to withdraw due to an undisclosed injury.
We can’t wait to see Alex in action on June 29!
