Josh Schneider I see your point but that wouldn’t keep him from joining ROH, Impact, NWA or AEW. At this stage, it likely wouldn’t keep him from WWE. Plenty of wrestlers have done far worst recently, than revealing a spat or riff to the public & maintained a career with Vince. Lars, Paige, Xavier, Seth, Lio, USO’s, Jeff Hardy, Rich Swan (he chose to leave) etc.

Kay Trout I agree but I was never expecting him to reveal a scathing encounter. I was just curious as to the specifics of what truly soured their working relationship. You can be forthcoming without being harsh. Ultimately he’s made his peace on the subject so I can respect that. Like he said, he doesn’t want those things to be a defining moment for his career. I’m sure he’ll find his way back to national tv soon enough. The guy is a class act, humble, hungry & level headed.

Chris said it perfectly, if you are working with a company and are surrounded by hundreds of other employees everyday. Not everyone is going to see eye to eye or get along. It just so happened to be John Cena and Alex Riley. That’s life.

People who didn’t see Riley’s “Varsity Villain” character and only saw his “Rage” character in NXT have no idea just how much potential this guy had in the early 2010s that character could’ve easily been a main event act if WWE would’ve just invested in him more

Gene Bone and yet somehow we had Taker, The Rock, Stone Cold, HHH, Angle and Y2J all being top guys at the same time (and that’s not even counting guys like RVD, Booker T, Kane, Big Show and Edge who all hung around that top spot as well) keep in mind that this era was before the brand split so there was only 1 world title, unlike when Riley was around the fact is that the that the top guys then (Cena, Punk & HHH specifically) kept a lot of the next generation of top guys down because they either didn’t like them, they were insecure about them, or they liked specific guys over them, and look at how it’s cost the WWE today

Please correct me if I'm wrong but have you ever realized that basically most superstars who miz tag teamed with had waaaaaayyy lesser success after he breaks up with them? For eg. A-Ry himself r truth( and like it or not r truth is better than miz in my opinion), john morison ( even though he on to shine in other promotions after wwe ). Do you realize that?

Alex Riley still has a love for the business and he's still protective of it. He had the look, charisma and intensity, he just didn't get a fair shake. I believe he'd be good in NWA or AEW now, i think he'd be able to pull it off.

One incident in particular that Reks talks about is that Cena was going through Alex's bag and throwing all of his things out. He was bullying him according to Reks. It'd be interesting to see an interview with Cena one day where he talks about the guys whose careers he affected like this. Guys like Riley and Reks, even someone like Miz who Cena has refused to ever put over even once. And on Miz and what Riley said here while Miz's desire to just contribute to making the show the best it can be is admirable, thats also why Miz is treated like such a joke by the McMahons and why he's buried in every feud he has thesedays, because he's happy to contribute to the show as opposed to looking out for himself.

Look up Alex Riley new debut from 2011. If you hear that crowd reaction that was Alex Riley moment. You can see how the fans picked up and gravitated towards him. What ever happened for him to lose his push goes to show what type of people exist within the industry. I think Alex Riley had it back in 2011 and still believe it to this day.
