Mary's voice ist pure emotion- a bit of desperation, a bit of grief, a bit of hatred but all in all perfectly fitting for a game like silent hill. I love it.

It started long before me, I never saw it coming The distance, the promise A state of isolation And in my darkest nightmare, things that I can't remember The answer is drowning This pain will last forever My father, his duty His orders, my brother The promise, the breaking Rejection, deception Reflection, conception The missing, the torture The madness, the sadness Can this be? Or is it... The shadow cast before me, I walk inside your circle Protect me, correct me You got your orders, soldier Inside my head is humming, sometimes I hear them coming The power, believing The hate I hate believing Where is this? It can't be Who are you? I know you You wouldn't, or would you? Don't fight me, ignite me My trigger, your finger Your darkness, I know it Come forward, I've seen it, I mean it Your power is over I've come to change the order My training is perfect I'm back, again Your promise is broken I drank your sacred water My mission is holy I'm back My father, his duty His orders, my brother The promise, the breaking Rejection, deception Reflection, conception The missing, the torture The madness, the sadness Can this be? Your power is over I've come to change the order My training is perfect I'm back, again Your promise is broken I drank your sacred water My mission is holy I'm back The hate I hate believing The hate I hate believing I never saw it coming I never saw it coming The hate I hate believing The hate I hate believing I never saw it coming I never saw it coming You have your orders, soldier
I've never heard a more relatable song to how my father treated me and my brothers when I was young. And still realizing the religious fear has gotten to me as much as it had gotten to them....
It started long before me... I never saw it comin'... The distance, the promise... A state of isolation... And in my darkest nightmare... Things that I can't remember... The answer, is drowning, this pain will last forever. My father... His duty... His orders... My brother... The promise... The breaking... Rejection... Deception... Reflection... Conception... I find it interesting how I dealt with the opposite of the father-kid story in this game, so every time I hear this song I imagine the opposite happening, making the lyrics have a unexpected meaning, they still work, mostly as what was expected in each moment.
I HATE my brother to death because i loved him as much as i hate him now so when this part plays my brother The promise, the breaking Rejection, deception Reflection, conception The missing, the torture The madness, the sadness Can this be? Or is it... it kills me and makes me remember so Shadows that look like blood Dead as far as the mind goes . . . .. . . . .
Me ENCANTA esta versión. La acabo de conocer en un compilado de Yamaoka. el tema de por si, es muy bueno. Pero lo han dejado aún más arriba con este remix. Genial.
1998... I'll never forget it. It was the year when these grisly murders occured in the Arklay Mountains. Soon after, the news was outto the whole world revealing that it was the fault of a secret viral experiment conducted by the international pharmaceutical enterprise, Umbrella. The virus broke out in a nearby mountain community, Raccoon City. And hit the peaceful little town with a devastating blow crippling its very foundation. Not taking any chances, the President of the United States ordered a contingency plan - to sterilize Raccoon City. With the whole affair gone public, the United States government issued an indefinite suspension of business decree to Umbrella. Soon its stock prices crashed and for all intents and purposes Umbrella was finished. Six years had passed since that horrendous incident...
Akira Yamaoka is one of the best music producers and composers that I have ever heard. This is not your song and I’m pretty sure he doesn’t want you making money of his art!!
