@@mwah6901 Starting in the 60s, Alex Trebek hosted random game shows not as known today. In the late 70s, Trebek began hosting shows like “The Wizard of Odds,” “Double Dare,” “The $128,000 Question.” His ride in Jeopardy! begins in 1984. At only age 44, Trebek walked onto the newly made Jeopardy! set, with 3 contestants ready to play the game. In 1987, Trebek started hosting “Classic Concentration.” A few years later, he stops hosting the show, to focus more on Jeopardy! He hosts the show for many more years, many more set changes, until October 29, 2020, his last day on the set. Today, he died of Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer, and a funeral has not been held yet. Your “group,” UTTP, is ridiculing the best game show host for dying. You should be ashamed of yourself for spreading around offensive/rude misinformation.
Best memories with my grandparents who raised me, and then with my kids and they have kept watching it now they are grown. Bless you Mr Trebek, I will take best games how host un heaven for a thousand, who is Alex Trebek.
Rest in piece Alex. My wife and I never missed watching Alex and Jeopardy every day for 35 years. Hearing the news of his passing brought a tear to our eyes. He will be surely missed.

I’m so sad. Eating dinner with my grandparents watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! Rest In Peace Mr. Trebek. Peace and Blessings to his family and friends.
Sigh-I knew it was inevitable. Godspeed, my weeknight friend. You fought the good fight and ran the race. You finished well. Enter into your rest, thou good and faithful host!
@M H I get it, mommy and daddy don't give you attention so you try to provoke people on the internet, but trust me, this is not the way to go about things
@barb rarick I mean yeah M H obviously wants attention, could only imagine they want it so bad because mommy and daddy neglect them, and some people like M H, just get so desperate that they'll do anything to be noticed, and that's a sad existence
"Most of us have opened ended lives.." I say this all the time as a Cancer patient. We all only have today...this moment. Embrace it. Celebrate it. And make sure to leave this earth a better place. RIP Alex - you will be missed!
Hello Miss Wendy, hope you fine yourself a bit better today then yesterday. Sorry to hear that you too have that monster in your body. I lost (2) siblings in (3) years to stage (4) Cancer. I'm on oxygen all day and night and I'm still struggling to recuperate from (5) hip surgeries (2) I've had (2) very bad dislocations and that need yet another surgery to remove the total hip replacement wait a month and have another surgery to put in a cement spacer. I Thank God For Everyday That I Wake Up And For Giving Me The Strength To Move As Best I Can. What I Go Through Each Day, Doesn't Compare To What You Go Through Daily. I Will Keep You In My Thoughts And Prayers . Miss Wendy And I Pray That At Least You Have One Day Without Pain. God Bless You And Keep You Safe Always. ✝️🙏✝️ By The Way I'm From New Mexico.❤❣❤❣❤❣❤
"If we take it just one day at a time with a positive attitude, anything is possible." He truly was the man with all the answers. Rest in peace, Mr. Trebek.
I think of a phrase from a movie where someone said "I can step into your position but I can never replace you". They may select a new host for Jeopardy but they'll never replace Alex Trebek.
He was already had quit hosting this season because, a couple months ago, he was on tv and had said, the cancer came back and, he said though he was trying to still remain in good spirits about it.
Alex Trebek was my childhood icon. Growing up I watched him almost every single day. We should all be inspired by Alex and the strength and perseverance he displayed while battling cancer. Cancer may have won, but Alex won our hearts. Rest in perfect peace Alex Trebek.
I'm not American nor Canadian and I didn't get to watch Jeopardy. But I know Alex Trebek, the smartest, kindest, firmest man to host a game show. We'll miss you, sir.
Sad,my condolences to his family and friends. I know he was wanting his last moments to be more meaningful, and a better quality of life than chemo. He will be missed. Peace be with you all.
I'm so saddened for his family/friends. I'm 44 & seeing all these icons i grew up with & I'm so used to on T.V. start passing away makes you see what things we take for granted. 🕊 what a beautiful 80 yr ride
@Peter Evans chillllll. They were paying their respects. Obviously they know how death works. No one can take you seriously with your bad grammar anyways lol.
@Peter Evans Thank you for the tip Peter, but I was born in America and have lived here my entire life. Additionally, I learned to read at the age of 4 and have been in honors English classes throughout highschool. In regards to my reference to your poor grammar, you said: "that's how dead works." I think you meant "death" as that is proper tense for the word you were attempting to use. I appreciate your concern towards the location I am currently abiding in though!🥰
@Peter Evans Lol I have lived in the suburbs of Chicago since the day I was born. So have my parents. So have my grandparents. So have my great grandparents. Speaking of Chicago, I noticed that you commented a condescending remark on a video of a Chicago Cubs baseball player who hit a foul ball at a girl in the stands. Your nasty comment on both videos proves that you are merely an internet troll trying to get satisfaction from bringing other people down. Luckily I am confident enough in myself that I'm not going to let some insecure, presumptuous, individual impact my thoughts or beliefs about myself, and fortunately, I have enough of that confidence to stick up for the person in which you originally targeted. What a sad life you must have to receive gratification from putting down other people. You never know what internal battles people may be struggling with, and, when given the choice, it would be foolish to contribute to the already existing negativity in the world.
My mom and I loved binge watching the show each weekend answering questions we might know. But now it won't be the same anymore! ;( Goodbye Alex Trebek. You will forever be missed! ;(
Dear Alex Trebek, Thank you for being strong, kind, empathetic, and always true to self. Thank you for inspiring me to never stop asking questions and always wanting to know more. Thank you for always being honest with all of us, but never making us feel sad or angry. Thank you for being an integral part of my childhood. Thank you being one of the best things that ever happened to me and to the world. Thank you for being you. You will never be forgotten, and you will always be loved. May you Rest In Peace and Grace, Your loyal viewers and greatest admirers
I am in tears right now. I grow up with Mr. Trebek and I always considered him one of the smartest men of the world. He will be extremely missed and always loved. My deepest, deepest sympathies to his beautiful and loving wife and family. Rest now my friend in the arms of the Lord.
I lost my best friend/sister-in-law to pancreatic cancer 5 years ago. She had the back pain symptoms for weeks and weeks and we never knew that could be cancer . By the time they figured it out she was stage four. It took her in year and a half. She fought so hard. I wish we had known the early signs. Maybe she would still be here. All of us in Canada will miss you very much Alec. Cyber *hugs* to all your family and friends. Say Hi to my buddy Dawne for me.
@@PaNic99 OMG that exactly the symptom my Dad had too. He was an avid bowler...they thought he pulled his back out bowling. Same scenario, by the time they figured it out it was stage 4 and he was gone 3 months after his diagnosis. Please get screened for it if you're at high risk. It is very treatable if caught early. 🌼
It is obvious that Alex was special, but he was a different kind of special. The kind of special where I cannot remember a time when jeopardy was not hosted because Alex was “out of town” or “not there”. Here is a man, that even when battling one of the most brutal sicknesses on the planet, was able to get up on that blue floored stage and make people smile. He did not act famous either. Never was he included in celebrity drama or anything, so I think it was his calm, humble voice that won people over. He was able to keep his exposure and remain neutral in almost every conversation he had over the thirty-some years he hosted the show. This is not about trivia, but about how simply amazing this man was. There will never be a generation as great as this one, and Alex was amongst the best to rise out of that generation. I say rip to a legend, but I think we can all agree that the jeopardy theme song will always be stuck in our heads, and we will always have the memory of hearing, “AND HERESSSSS YOUR HOST, AAAAAALEX TREBEK”, because this is ingrained into our brains. May it never leave there. Goodbye, Trebek. We are going to miss you.
I cried when I heard this news this morning. Granted I'm pregnant and emotional, but Alex was such an inspiring and eloquent man. Bless him and his family.
Just heard the news how sad. My precious little sister passed away SEP 2019 and we would always watch jeopardy way back when as a family unit and even to this day without her. Hearing about Alex's death is having my mom in tears at this moment thinking about them both. Rip to both of y'all :(
I guess the answer would be, “The sentence several people will have to say to someone who hosted game shows for many years and is now back in Heaven after losing against pancreatic cancer.”
@@holdenmcgroin9774 I’m just proud not a lot of people from here make it famous all around the world. We don’t want him back just remember him for what an amazing person he is! I remember watching with my grandma all the time it was like every night at 7:30 that was our thing. He’s made memories for everyone
"Make the most of today. Stop worrying about the future. Just treat every as a blessing, and enjoy it to the fullest. Try to be aware of when you leave this earth, that you made a difference...a positive difference" Alex Trebek
Thank you so much for hosting one of my favorite childhood shows, which me and my dad tuned in and loved answering the questions (seldom knew them lol) you are truly an icon... not because you were so well known on TV but your presence brought joy and good humor and you truly loved the show. RIP Alex Trebek. 🤍
Alex: Name a year that went down in history for most as one of the most sorrowful. Me: What is 2020, Alex? Alex: That is correct. Rest in peace, Mr.Trebek. Jeopardy won't be the same without you!
