I noticed that almost all of those songs were performed in Britain actually. Except for the one before the last. This was in Primavera. I'm thinking that maybe they want to perform these songs there because,after all, no matter how much they've travelled, this is were everything began. This is their home and their music's home. And I think this is pretty amazing. How they keep these songs for these places. It shows how special they are to them.

to me alex's tone in the entire TBH+C album is deeply nostalgic. first noticed it in the ultracheese cuz duh the song itself is nostalgic asf, but actual he and it in the entire album. and I feel like that takes a huge part into making these moments so nostalgic, ya know? besides the fact that obviously they're old songs they rarely play anymore, they're most likely improvised, with very little instruments even if they're a huge band now, it's almost like they're going back to a time they were smaller, you know? there's a huge contrast between the old songs that are so full of youth and were sang in a more raw, quick voice, here sang in low and slower and tho less expressive more emotional voice. and idk man that just gets to me. in the channel there's also a vid that shows the evolution of teddy picker, and honestly the performance of that song has barely changed over the years. when he performs it now, alex goes back to the tone and accent he used back then (or at least sth somewhat similar idk). not the case here. I mentioned the instruments, it's really huge. listen to the instrumental of mardy bum: quick, super expressive. here, there's barely anything. just the lyrics and the power of singing an old song they never play anymore. OOF this vid. I sure as heck teared up lmao.
