Totally agree. Found this yesterday afternoon and have been binge watching ever since. Even though I am already 70 A girl can still have dreams. But I am NOT giving up my leggings. Hahahaha
Possibly a dumb question but can we get a video on what to do AFTER you've back combed your hair? Cuz my hair is always a legit tangled up mess afterwards and it stops me from doing it in the first place...
Do you mean what you should do at the end of the night? Before showering use a bit of conditioner in your hair and then comb with with a wide toothed comb or tangle teezer from bottom to top
Ya, my hair is busy forming dreadlocks all on its own. It’s long, fine and wavy, but there’s a lot of it. My role is essentially policing, I don’t make executive decisions.
These styles look great until you leave the house. Then they fall & you’re left with a limp pony, leaving you looking like a middle aged waitress at a truck stop somewhere in Texas.
If you use a volumising powder like Schwarzkopf's before back combing and then spritz it with some hair spray, the back combing should stay. It works even on fine greasy hair like mine!
The only person who made a successful, non cringy transition to RU-vid from traditional media. Also, finally we have a beautuber with taste, in the sea of orange valley girls in drag makeuuuuup *vocal fry*
exactly!! so many beauty youtubers are obsessed with looking flawless, it doesn’t even appeal to the average woman. i feel like my mother could watch alexa’s videos and enjoy them, while most others she would not.
She's effortlessly cool. Even though she's young enough to be my daughter, I love watching her posts. She appears to like vintage style & creates a great blend of fashions past with the present. ❤
Not gonna lie, those AC videos are quickly becoming my favorite thing on RU-vid; they're now kinda an immediate click & watch as soon as they pop up in my feed. 😊👌
This GUY ahh he’s great! This is how hair stylists should be! When he was getting Alexa to do her own hair at the front and he didn’t know how to say it “I find every girl’s got a different - how - you know, so I kind of say ..” ahhhh I’m in love Can I have him please
I would love to see Alexa try on a bunch of crazy wigs!!! I short pink one like Natalie Portman in Closer, or a black bob with strong fringe like Natalie Portman in Leon, The Professional... I sense a pattern
I have very thin, as you say "delicate" hair and I wish I had yours. You can really just keep it clean and brushed, it looks gorgeous. Thin hair people like me always need to invent hairstyles to compensate for the lack of volume and density :/
ALEXA PLEASE TALK ABOUT HOW YOU UNDO YOUR HAIR AFTER BACKCOMBING THEM. THIS IS STH THAT PEOPLE DONT TALK ABOUT AND I AM CONFUSION. HOW DO YOU UNTANGLE THE HAIRRRR????
The comment of the day… sometimes I mind my ears, sometimes I don’t mind my ears. This is a prime example of how man feel lost in the thought process of the fairer…
Hysterical! "Are my elbows weird?!" is a little inside-joke my partner and I occasionally ask each other in mockery (gentle mockery) of this very concept
Yey! Wanna do it faaaaaaaster.. sleep with your hair open.. wake up in the morning.. DONT BRUSH YOUR HAIR.. just tie a pony.. and get on a public transport to work 😂 voila!
Alexa is fantastic and a real beauty but that hair do was so lame. There was nothing 60s about it , it literally looked she went to bed without taking her ponytail out.
I don't feel like watching some of your videos not that I don't like it, but there are things that don't interest us kind of stuff. But I like your voice, how you talk, so I end up watching. ❤️❤️❤️
I think this channel is awesome and not to be a purist, but this is 60s-inspired hair at best. It's very cute, but especially with the loose beach waves, not true to the time.
Would love to see a straight hair look that isn't flat /too sleek. I have very fine, thin hair - whenever I wear it straight it just goes so flat and tends to look greasy so quickly! X
Love it! This has been my go-to for years, but I curl it a bit, pull half back, twist it, push it upwards and secure it with a barrette, then pull bits looser. Pushing it up and pulling bits looser creates that beehive look without needing to back-comb, then you just spray it and go. Much easier to do as a lazy day hairstyle!
I had a Vidal Sasson asymmetrical cut in the 1960's now @ age 70 hair length very long & natural gray-white streaks on the sides, loose & informal never teased or sprayed my hair in any decade
Hey guys, this is the 3rd video i see and i loooove Alexa. Which makes me wonder, which youtubers do you recommend me to follow as wel? I saw her French style video, the one about the women village in Africa and now this! Bye bye thank you love to all..................!
I think a clear elastic hairband would work better for this style. I know since it is my go-to hairstyle. I do it without backcombing since I have thick hair, but I also don't like my hair to be too poofy. I do mine primarily with straight hair since I'm to lazy or busy to curl.
I was feeling ambitious and took the scissors to my waist length hair this morning. It''s now about your length. It's uneven and I haven't had it this short in years and kind of want to cry. Hopefully I will try a variation of this using overnight braids for curls and love it tomorrow.😢
