would it make sense to position two echo dots on opposite sides of the couch (facing the tv)? i was also going to get the subwoofer and position it at the bottom of the tv stand?

I have the regular Fire TV Stick 4K that I got for Christmas in 2021 and am using it in the living room with my old pair of 3rd generation dots and it's really not bad. I do wish I would have gotten the 4K Max instead so that I could use ARC and be able to play everything through my dots if I wanted to but I'm grateful regardless. I have an older soundbar and subwoofer which are better and louder overall than the dots (obviously) but the dots are for sure an upgrade over TV speakers and makes for a good middle ground. I see as I type this at the end of September 2023 that the 5th generation Echo Dots are on sale where I live for 50% off and I might go for it. Having a pair of dots are great anyway for music since you will get stereo sound. I might later get the subwoofer if and when it goes on sale, and perhaps get the newly released 4K Max Fire TV Stick.

Wondering how to get my 2nd gen echo to play as left and right with my TV without a fire tv? Am able to create left and right stereo but unable to decide how to connect it to TV.

What sets apart the studio from soundbars, and not often mentioned, is the enclosure. Studio design enables it to be go very loud and full sound without the tiny soundbar enclosure that limits midrange performance.

Excellent video, I'm looking to buy 2 echo studios the 2022 model and the echo subwoofer for my living room. I was going to put the subwoofer behind the sofa and the echo studios to the left and right off the tv. The room is square and 4 x 4 metres.

Hi, i have a 5th gen and 3rd gen but cant seem to get them to link to my FIRE TV 4k. They are saying in some places they work but others say they not compatible. Any help guys?

Can I use an Echo Show 15 and 2 echo studios to play audio through. I know I could connect cables and a splitter but would rather not since it will be mounted. The Omni tvs are nice but even a 43 would be slightly too big. 32 would be ideal. It’s going on a half wall in my studio apt. What’s the best option here? I got the show because it’s small and the screen would be flush with the wall and not get bumped or stick out when walking bye.

My 2 Echo’s and Sub sounds great when I set it up on the Omni TV but it keeps going in and out and automatically reverting back to TV speaker 😫

Great review of things. 0 2 questions 1. Have you figured a way to connect a 5.1 to the Alexa Theater system to create a 7.1? 2. This works off the firestick right, but what about when I switch HDMI to a gaming system? Any workarounds to keep it connected?

Just bought an Omni Qled tv based on this video, and under the sound and display settings, it doesn't have the home theatre option 😫

Hey question, i paired both my echo dot 5th gen to my firestick and for some reason i feel like they dont run at 100% volume. When i play music or the tv on a single echo dot it tends to sound louder then when i have both paired. Any tips on how u can max the volume on both of them while paired? Something is not right with the volume

I have 2 echo dot 5th generation and looking to upgrade with the sub, but it’s kinda expensive, does it worth it? The sound will be really better adding the subwoofer to the echos?

If you set up the home theater and have it loud for a movie and then give alexa a command does the volume change for her response or does it stay as loud as it was for the movie. I use alexa for a lot and I don't want it screaming at me just cause I finished a movie and forgot to turn the volume down.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the Echo Dots max output is 15 Watts, the bigger echos are 30 Watts, I got two in my 2 car garage and I just bought the Sub, that's how I ended up watching your video lol

Hi! Sadly you are limited to 1 speaker per side.

Nope, the max you can do is 2 echo studio with an echo sub. You'll be able to pair 1 echo studio, 1 echo dot, and 1 echo sub max in your configuration.

Hi all, I got the echo studio and paired with my omni tv. However I don’t understand why all the audio now goes to the echo studio only. No audio from TV. has anyone figured out why ? I thought it should be complementary not one way or the other . Thanks all!

I am finding after setting up the home theater with the echo's when i turn the TV off I lose all sound. I even had to reboot my TV to get sound back. Anyone know a fix for that.

Have you tried checking if fire os needs to be updated or everything needs to be re-paired to Alexa again (sorry I know this step is tedious but it worked for me when 1 of my dots mysteriously disappeared and I could not reconnect it).

Omni tv now has home theatre. But you can only have sound from the tv speaker or the echos, but not both. Is there any way I can talk to alexa to switch speakers from tv to echos without selecting it by the remote controls.

Hi have the same setup but with 2 4th gen echo's and a sub and the sound is really quite at max volume it doesnt produce much bass or volume but as a music speaker set it is very loud. just as a home theatre set paired with latest 4k fire stick its quiet any idea why?

Hi! Do you have the fire stick 4k max? If yes, sounds to me there is a pairing issue or your TV has a setting that is reducing the volume. Can you remove the home theater and re-pair the echos and sub again?

No. I have that TV and the insignia and hisense fire tvs do not come with Alexa home theater built into its fire os

I recently purchased two Echo Studio's and a Subwoofer. The audio is nice (i.e., bass, mid range and treble) when playing music from Amazon Music; however, whenever, I play movies, the volume is too low. I can hear the sound all around me; however, I wish it was louder. I feel like I’ve tried everything such as: • While in Home Theater mode, the only audio setting available is Dolby Digital Plus. The PCM and Dolby Digital options are greyed out. • Under Devices of the Alexa app, I selected the Echo Studio and confirmed all three speakers are paired. I increased the volume to the max setting. • Under audio settings on my Fire TV Cube, I toggled both the Volume Leveller and Dialogue Enhancer on and off. • Under audio settings In the Alexa app, I toggled the “spatial audio” on and off. • I restarted my Fire TV Cube (even unplugging it) Have anyone else experienced low volume using the Alexa Home Theater? Is so, any suggestions on how to fix the issue? Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Try setting the volume leveler off, it decreases volume considerably at least in my experience with two 4th gen echos

Hi! As if 5/8/23, you have to sync all the devices inside the app through the setup process.

@@TheFrenchGlow I appreciate your reply, I understand that part but was wondering about connecting to the TV through Bluetooth? Shouldn’t you be able to do that? I have an Echo Dot 3 connected to an LG TV in that way. I just wanted to see if I could do it and haven’t actually used the 3 for the TV. However, with the 5’s and a sub, I would use them with the TV. Thanks in advance.

@@WhiteG60 it is so poor from Amazon, it’s a new Studio and 2 new Dots with a Firestick 4K. You would think it could do it, the only reason I bought the studio was to create a home cinema!

The statement in the video about the home theater capability not working with the Fire Stick 4K is not true. I have the plain Fire Stick 4K (not max) and it works just fine.

Hi! You are right. I believe they added it recently for the Fire TV Stick (3rd Generation) & Fire TV Stick Lite as it was one of the main selling pts for the 4K max.

Lol! I couldn't go wider on the camera. The optimal echo sub position is on the floor closer to a corner if possible (produces punchier bass) but in my living room, the wall is long so it wasn't possible. Thanks for watching!

This product is utterly useless to me. I have exhausted all possible methods and wasted valuable time watching countless RU-vid videos in vain. It is completely ineffective. I am returning it to Amazon immediately. What is the point of Apple products? They claim to work smoothly 90% of the time, but this has been a colossal disappointment.
