I buried my dad last Friday. Officer of the law among many other things. He worked with children and families. His first priority was everyone's safety. Terry Chinn is a legend where we are. Hes priceless. Im the luckiest girl in the world ❤❤❤ love you dad. RIP Hey boy! Ill see you soon. 💙💙💙
We lost our parents young. My dad was a well known race car mechanic for various clubs, police mechanic and union president. Our mom was a great lady too. I can understand how you miss your dad very much. I was daddy's little girl too. Alexa sings lovely. That's an old song from my mom's oldies channel.

The brings back a fond memory of Billy Joel and Alexa. In 2006, my wife and I stopped late one night to say hello to Norman, the long-time bartender and fixture at the Ritz in NYC. While sipping a drink at the bar, my wife asked me to ask the pianist to play "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" (a favorite request of hers). The piano was behind a column so I couldn't see the pianist. When I went to ask, I realized why we were hearing a lot of Billy Joel tunes, it was Billy sitting at the piano playing with Alexa on the bench with him. I went back to explain to my wife that it was Billy Joel playing and she said, well, he's a piano player, marched over and asked him to play it. Sure enough, he did with my wife sitting on the bench with him and Alexa. Of course, this left me with the question "what do you tip Pianoman?" Needless to say, we (and everyone else) stayed for more than one drink as Billy played for over an hour.
She needed autotune. Do you know what autotune is, and how it works? Did you know that many artists have used it before it became such a bandwagon comment on YT? Many of your favs used an auto tuner in the studio before it was called auto tune. Artists have used tools just like auto tune for over 50 years.

I was in the audience for this and was extremely shocked, because I had no idea that she has a beautiful singing voice. Her father can sing, her mother isn’t known to sing, so there was no reason to assume she would be born with a great singing voice. She also is clearly comfortable performing in front of thousands of people, and she has something else that can’t be taught: a magnetic stage presence.
This song was popular when my mom was pregnant for me. She passed not quite 2 years ago. Now, my dad is nearing the end of his life and is presently in the hospital not doing well. This song truly says how I feel.

I’ll never forget the first time I heard The Stranger was flowing across the quads near my dorm at Penn State. It was haunting and I had to go and get it right away. Later when we had our children it was my oldest son’s favorite singer. He’d always clamor for “Billy Joel!” Such happy times.
I’m so glad to see that Alexa is apparently close to her dad. If I had been her I would have never been able to get through that. I didn’t understand her outfit at first, but once she started the song it made perfect sense. Met Billy when he came to my college to play one evening. It was snowing and only three people showed up. We all sat at the piano. He said he had a record coming out. We never knew him before that. That was back in the seventies. He played piano man. We all said it was a hit. I don’t know if any of us would have dreamed it became such a big hit. I glad it did. Who knew we would still be talking about after having adult children of our own.

Billy Joel was on tour promoting his album with the top 20 hit "Allentown." He stopped in our city and Christie was in the audience and she had Alexa in her arms. I will never forget that. It's great to see Alexa all grown up and with a singer songwriter career of her own.
