I don't know. Having to physically hold a button ruins the experience for me. The whole point of my Alexa is to allow me to control things without stopping what I'm doing or getting up to retrieve a remote or something. I was hoping this would work like a big screen Echo Show. Thanks for sharing.
Intresting regardimg the lights but what does alexa do regarding using the tv. Does it turn the TV off by voice comand. Does alexa change to ITV channel from BBC1 by asking her to? These are the kinds of things im sure many of us came here to find out
Hello there! if its possible to turn on your TV using an amazon device with Alexa? Most of the videos I found show that Alexa is capable of turn it off. Alexa app on TV doesn't Turn on TV because no button on TV remote works (except for powerbutton) when TV is Turned off . But you can use echo dot connect it to TV to Turn off and on the TV.

I was expecting you to control the TV using Alexa. Seems a pain having to pick up the remote and long press a button every time you want to use Alexa. I'd just install an Echo Dot instead.
I did,but i don't anymore due the fact that we change the TV over every other week. Can't say i had any issues when i used them on a previous OLED. If you were covering the whole of the back of the TV then it maybe an issue,but a small strip around the edge should be fine.
George Xydous. I put LED strips on the casing where the electronics are for the same reason I didn’t know if the adhesive would ruin the glass. They work ok, I get some colour on the wall behind the tv but of course it’s not as bright as if I had them around the edge of the glass. Hope this helps.
Hi I have been trying to figure out how to set up Alexa on my LG. I have a LG oled65e6p, over 5 years old. I cannot find any Alexa app, only have Amazon Video and Music available. I got the LG ThinQ app and the Alexa pp on my iphone. Nothing works. OS is up to date. Am in Canada if that matters. Every tutorial vid seems to be for LGs with the Alexa built in. Mine def does not have it! Suggestions please

Do you have any idea how to turn off alexa on this TV? You can´t delete the app. Whenever you say "alexa", the blue screen comes up. LG support can´t help.
Guys i have question .. my tv is (LG B1) and my soundbar is (Samsung Q600a) and i try to play a movie with (DTS) sound by a (usb drive) but the movie play without sound ! So is there a Solution!?
Another great video, thanks. Is there a way to balance the sound volume out on LG TVs. Its a good level on freesat, but when I switch to Netflix or prime TV. Its mega loud. And vice versa.

Fantastic video Mr Paul!! I noticed in 4:28 there is a yellow line on your screen, I bought my CX last Octuber and I have the same behavior, I sent my TV to warranty but they didn't find something wrong. It's normal?
@@TheTechGiantRU-vid that's right, the yellow horizontal line that pops up at the bottom of the screen, in my case it appears while I'm watching on RU-vid, Netflix etc. (Without pressing Alexa button). It’s Amazon notifications, just hold the the button and say what notifications are there then delete them all, if you don’t want to see it no more go to the Alexa app and switch off all notifications in the settings
Not funds more than the fact the g1 u have to mount and I can’t the way my set up is and the gallery stand is ugly I’m not sure if they are selling regular feet but also with that being said with funds it’s just like 77 for 3500 or 4K plus get a 65 yano

1. No, but on phone you need to install App, so that you can connect / setup devices to alexa. If you don't have devices, just commands like 'weather' etc works fine, the details are shown as overlay on the current screen content. 2. I don't know if TV has audio IN option.
Your forgetting that we test loads of different TV's,so the bracket has to be mounted in a way that it can accommodate different sizes and models. Also the BX and CX are made in such way that the wall mounting holes are very low down,this in turn makes the TV sit higher up the wall. Other TV's it is not an issue.
Anyone know how to get Alexa to do the most basic thing you want her to do on a TV? "Alexa, watch...." Just produces search results. Absolutely, fucking impossible to get her to play the dam movie.
I am writing this comment from the comfort of my Chair with No Arms. And I changed my mind about the video because every time you say "ALEXA set timer or whatever", it keeps triggering my stupid cow in my room. Maybe being creative or beeping out the name maybe good as we tend to watch this stuff when trying to find something or stuck, perhaps. so that wasn't helpful. And I agree with the comment below. There is no way on Earth, I will first look for the remote wherever it has landed in the room, then find my armchair that is comfortable :) and then press the button for Alexa and maybe repeat my request more than once because she can be rubbish to do what i could if i was willing to leave the comfort of my non-arm chair. My Alexa keeps saying TV not online. And the smart life app doesn't recognize the QR Codes and it's a new OLED too. Not been simple. But thank you.
@@TheTechGiantRU-vid More simple for you to just say A instead of Alexa for example or just replace the word with a beep (as many other professional youtubers do) as all the people who watch your videos to mute Alexa isn't it? That would increase your users experience but whatever, this is your choice...
@@Wh0CaresAnywayHey, told me what I needed to know albeit with Alexa telling me she doesn't know that half a dozen times...... She does that all the time anyway so we just use her to turn lights on and off as well as timers. A small price to pay for excellent instructions so thankyou Tech Giant.
