I feel you man. I went through this and it honestly hurt like hell. we had a good healthy breakup and everything was fine but then a week later stuff just went down and it turned very toxic. it honestly hurt me pretty badly, but I truly am in love with a fairytale. we loved eachother very much and talked every night until one of us just fell asleep and I was happier than ever, and they were too, but we just started arguing everyday and things just went south from there. I started to realize that we don't connect, we have different interests and it's just not gonna work and we aren't compatible with eachother. I really fought like hell to keep it alive and I did for a bit, but I just couldn't do it any longer and she initiated a breakup. I'm still in love with the idea of the perfect relationship between me and her, what we could have been, a rose tinted version of our relationship. but I know it will never come back to me and it's something I'm just gonna have to deal with.

I tried to make us got back together, but she was hating me and blaming me for all her psychological problems. I don't know if that was true, maybe it was for some of the causes, we split and got back together a lot of times for the past 4 years, affected us both, more her, specially because I cheated on her in the first year. I regret a lot of things, but as you also did, I tried my best this last time to be the best me possible for her. But... It didn't matter. She broke up with me, then started hating me and the worst part was that some months later I found out she was dating someone else. It still hurts like hell everyday and breaks me inside, makes me feel worthless and hopeless, also because of the things she told me, some shit that made deep holes in my heart. Tried to kill myself twice, but she stopped me, saying that she still loved me a lot, but I made her feel really bad just by staying with her. My birthday is in 3 days and I was considering passing it alone, in some motel, drink a lot, take the rest of my rivotril, and then cut my wrists to end this excruciating pain that I know it won't go away. I won't let go... Never... So maybe that what's going to happen. But I hope you can make it though. Good luck.
