A king who proves his worth would naturally be re-elected. Many kings throughout history have not earned their seat of power in any way other than being pushed out of their mothers royal cunT.
"I killed a bunch of your neighbors and family members so you and the rest of the survivors have to do whatever I say"... That's monarchy in a nutshell.
Your recreations give me a heartfelt connection to historical figures, something paintings, sculpture and coin representations do not. I see a living, breathing human and am motivated to wonder about their thoughts and feelings. Your work fosters a fresh perspective and I am touched and transformed and grateful.

How wonderful, such an awesome reconstruction! I’m of Greek heritage and this is really quite special, thank you! Alexander The Great’s mother (Olympia) came from the same region that my Father was originally from.
He was Emperor the Great , After seeing his image , i earnestly believe ,indeed ,He is Emperor ,not only in connection with the world but in Looks also he is Emperor of the world ,, All glory to you great Emperor
OMG you just explained and named my eye freckle lol it's a brown spot in my right eye lol I never thought much about it (assumed it wasn't too uncommon) until you said something about it. Thanks for that!
That was beautiful. To my knowledge Alexander's appearance wasn't too different form his statues and it's been said that Alexander would order that certain features be slightly exaggerated of depictions of himself because he didn't want the face of a 25 year old to represent such a vast kingdom.
Why was the video of how you rendered him so short and why didn't we see other angles and lighting or expressions since AI can render those pretty well now
@@XPGamer95 that's actually not proven based on history... There r different stories related to him in India... Most famous story is in India he met some asetic or monk who awakened him from his delusion of tryna to rule the world by saying what's the purpose in it when u gotta leave everything behind when u die....& later he stopped his quest & also became sick & then he traveled back to his home country & died on the way....
@@4TengrisSake bisex or pansex as almost all men of his times. He had three wives, a mistress, a lot of concubines and female lovers. He also had 4 or 5 children, 2 or 3 survived him. Yes he loved and had sex also with males (and his favorite was a young eunuch) but he had too many women to be gay
It was very common to be Bisexual during that time. Especially for men in high ranking positions. As long as they married (women) and created children it wasn't frowned upon. History is so interesting!
Maybe it's not perfect but I think is one of the most credible I've seen. Ancient writers said that Scipio was the most beautiful between Roman men of power, while the most beautiful between Greeks were Alcibiades, Demetrius Poliorcetic and Alexander
At 15, Alexander's father trusted him enough to make him a general and ordered him to lead soldiers into battle. At 16, he won the 100-yard sprint in the Olympics. He was also the first man known in history to regularly shaved. He wanted to make sure his men recognized him. He also wore a helmet shaped like a lion's head covered in gold into battle to make sure his men saw him. Since then, most cavalry generals seem to dress differently from the men they led for the same reason. Murat, Jeb Stuart, Custer, Patton...
He was not shaved. He was naturally whiskerless . We can assume it from pompeyas icon which was painted almost 150 years after his death. After him his successors they kept shaving themselves as a tradition, in order to honor him.
Well Egypt was certainly happy and welcoming of him, considering the Persians shit all over their gods, while Alexander revered their gods, they practically welcomed him with open arms.
There is something so charming and mesmerizing about Alexander the Great, from him conquering the world at such a young age, to his horse Bucephalus, to his open mindness about things, his very noble quotes, how he was loved by so many in the foreign lands he went to, how he was prophesized in the Bible, even his heterochromia was so unique, and dying at such age, its like he is an eternal hero. Even the location of his grave is such a mystery and surely if such discovery was made it would be huge. i love Alexander
Except that homeboy killed his own close associate, Cleitus, a military officer, in a drunken argument. The same Cleitus who once saved his life in the Battle of Granicus.
Alexander was loved by his soldiers & by th people he conquered. He was even worshipped as a god king in Egypt & made a Pharoah. Pretty impressive accomplishments
He died at 32, scarcely aged. I expect his features are shaped here as closely as we can know, but I can't imagine his expression or the look in his eyes was anywhere near so bland. He was indeed ruthless in conquering, but by the standards of his day was merciful to those whom he had conquered, and ruled them with justice and even-handedness. An absolute ruler, yes, but a wise one. An astonishing life.
I come from Macedonia (northern Greece) and i find this reconstruction quite emotional. Wish we could do the same for other Greek historical figures like Miltiades and Leonidas. Maybe you could do a reconstruction of Pyrrhus the King of the northern western Greek region of Epirus who was a second cousin to Alexander.
Its Macedonia girl not north greek south macedonia. You don't have to put greek after Macedonia. It's an insult for Mecedonia itself. Macedonia have its own tradition culture and most impotant language. So, be smart and wise and don't try do deny a whole nation title. I have been there many times and have seen documentaries that it is spoken macedonian and Albanian the main languages. So just because a 2%percent imigrants speak greek doesnt mean that you have to name it greek south part macedonia. So open a book and get wiser. Advise from me.
My interest in Alexander peaked when I discovered the novel The Persian Boy by Mary Renault (1972). It's a fun and steamy historical fiction, told from the point of view of Bagoas, a Persian who was a companion of Alexander during his later years. Alexander was definitely one of history's most interesting figures I believe, and my #1 historical crush! Your recreation really shows off his striking looks!
I’ve been recommended to read The Persian Boy....but it’s publishing in ‘72 puts me off. Is it really worth reading. Not keen if it oldie-style writing...
Did you read the other books in the series too? Fire From Heaven comes before The Persian Boy, and Funeral Games comes after. My favorite of the three is Funeral Games.
He looks perfect handsome Guy , Amazing LOOKING GOOD! at the age of 33 years old passed away , i'll never forget about him he's my #1 hero Alexander The Great III Greek-Macedon Empire. Alexander Known named by Alexandria , Egypt. long live the kingdom Alexander from Egypt.
Mohamed, You HAVE MIXED UP all Historical data ;/ ### His right name is "ALEXANDER III MACEDONIAN" and he was MACEDONIAN and KING OF MACEDONIA/ and he got it /*GREAT*/ by the ROMANS, as they admired all that he had achieved in such a short time, and he was VICIOUS and a great VISIONARY for his time.
@@dimitarhristov3765 Macedonia is coming From a Greek name Μακεδονία From land of μακεδνός means tall or long man . Ancient Makedonia was inhabited by a GREEK Dorian tribe with the same script and the same religion as the rest of the Greeks and participated in the Olympic Games like the rest of the Greek tribes . At that time there was no NAME GREECE, HELLAS but those tribes that identify their tribe as a Greek (Hellines)and lived in city-states and so for example Athens, Corinth, Sparta, Macedonia were states. Also, ARISTOTLE (The teacher of Alexander the Great) was a famous ancient Greek philosopher and scientist born in Stageira, Halkidiki, MACEDONIA and at the age of 17 he entered Plato's Academy in ATHENS . Thanks to Alexander the Great , Greece became one Nation uniting all the Greek tribes.
I found this one a site written by a court historian during AG's time: "For he had the hair of a lion and one eye was blue; the right one was heavy lidded and black, and the left one was blue"
Very interesting, indeed. Do you mind sharing the source and the name of that particular historian? I love history a lot. Extremely interesting subject.
To think this boyish looking man marched over the entirety of the known world at the time. His speech to his men when they wanted to return to Greece is one of the most epic ever recorded.
Bravo ! As for very long a kind-of Alexander fan, I must say your re-creation of the King is very convincing. However a correction, there were portraits in wide circulation during Alexander's days on earth that still exist, namely the life-time silver tetradrachmas and parallel gold pieces minted in several cities of the Empire, one you briefly show. Incidently, I believe this was the first time a living ruler was depicted on coinage. It was said then it depicted Zeus-Amun, but everyone knew it was Alexander.
@@marcosduran4169 we don't know that because we don't have his body. Chances are when they say short they were talking in reference to his Soldiers height. He could have been 5'7, which would have been short compared to all the soldiers around him. Who were probably around 5'11 like his father. We will know when we find his tomb.
Wow Alexander the Great was a very handsome man! He was bisexual which made him even hotter! I’d let him take me out on a romantic date in 2021 not in his time though the hygiene I’m sure was pretty bad!😆
Thank you! Difficult to tell with most statues being copies of copies. But it’s very fun to speculate and they do have an internal consistency that is interesting.
I just love these recreations of people long past. Making them move as if they are alive is weird but amazing. Unfortunately, Alexander the Great only lived to the age of 33 but watching your age progression made it possible for the viewers to get a glimpse at what would have been had he lived to old age.
This is awesome! Some historians visited my family telling us they've tracked us down to be the descendant of him. So cool to see what hed actually look like. Thanks.

Wonderful! *Thank you.* This is an excellent approximation of how Alexander might have looked. Btw, I did *not* know that he was only 5 feet tall -- which must have given Napoleon (@ 5' 6 inches) comfort. My only single, teensy quibble is that, as Alexander died young, he did not have an opportunity to develop grey or white hair or an aged face....
@@user-ry6ey8gq3t Quite right! At 5' 6", Napoleon was a respectable height for his time. British propagandists promoted the idea of 'the Little Corporal.' But Napoleon was *not* as tall as, say, the Duke of Wellington; or as his colleague Thomas-Alexandre Dumas Davy de la Pailleterie, the first person of colour to be a French general (during the French Revolution). And we *do* know that Napoleon looked to Alexander the Great as the epitome of successful commanders.
@@cathryncampbell8555 ik ik i'm french, (the son of Dumas is one of the greatest writer of France btw). and that's normal for Dumas, black people are taller than white people
There are no historical accounts about the exact height of Alexander. Thus, the claim that he's over 5 feet only, is rather a speculation and not really factual. Matter of fact, the tomb with the human remains of his father Philip II was found. And the analyzed skeletal remains revealed that he was nearly 6 feet tall.
