When ilia said “I respect you, I’m just fighting for my dreams” to Volk when they faced off I understood. May the best man win and I wish both men the absolute best of luck. But also LFG VOLK!!
Honestly I think Torpuria is a humble dude. He is just trying to sell the show, he even outright told Volk “I respect you, just following my dream” People are overhating in my opinion.
I used to train with Volkanvoski and he is freakishly strong. The only person I can compare him to is when I played on Gary Ablett Snr. He also has an amazing appetite. There was a club function where he famously ate 40 party pies. It was like Cool Hand Luke. I think this is why he is able to put on so much weight after the cut. It's a gift while active, but he will be huge after retirement.
The other day I heard Ilia's coach say that they never do bench press, they went to the gym to do it for the first time in a long time, and Ilia did the reps with 140 kg (308 pounds)... I also think that Volkanosky is an extremely strong person, but be careful, Ilia himself surprises him.
I don’t think Ian will get humbled & volk is just aiming to be a Connor/ Colby he’s already said he respects volk he’s just chasing his dreams / believes in himself . I think volk crushes him
@@stylaremz2230dude is already recording a documentary about winning the title and claiming to have 15 wins, says he's too good to be compared with anyone volk has ever fought, he snatched the belt like a child and he started shouting down reporter for even asking volk how illia compared to previous opponents.... Having said all that, what exactly do you think 'humble' means? Don't tell you your one of those who hears 'i'm the most humble person in the world' and thinks, damn that guys humble.😂
Volk trying to fight 4 months after getting KOed, down a weight class, after trying to fight Islam on 11 days notice is more arrogant and delusional than anything Ilia has ever done. This is one of the biggest fumbles of a career I've ever seen. Ilia gonna hurt this man bad...
I hope you're not right, but it's damn hard to argue with you. Volk has been going up in weight, and he got KO'd. There is no way he is as committed to this fight as if he hadn't been chasing Islam.
How many dominant champions getting so much finishes? First of all u dont even have that many dominant champions rn that are active, its alex and jones(if we can even count jones a s active) and there is Adesanya, all of them have mostly decision wins, on such a high level u cant really chase finishes, u simply wait for them but if they dont happen well there you go, but if you chase a finish you get finished fast@@chriswilson1968
How did ilia crumble at the presser? Ilia is definitely not used to the spot light entertainment wise but I dont see him as nervous for the fight at all. I think if anything volk is nervous and overcompensating by keep saying how he’s gonna teach ilia a lesson like he’s his dad and shit. Lol
People forget strength plays a big part when you have skills. Machecheve (probably butchered the spelling) always easily over powers his opponents except when he faced volk. Look like volk was a smidge stronger . I'm guessing once topuria feel the skills and overwhelming strength his confidence will begin to break fast
I’m thinking this will be the difference as well, Topuria looks very physically strong himself but Volk has showed freakish levels of strength for the weight.
Yeah strenght definitley played a part in first fight against Islam but in second fight Islam easily overpowered Volk. I knew Volk would loose the moment Islam got him in clinch and pushed him effortlesly toward the cage. But Volk is frekishly strong for FW as is Islam for LW
I keep tryna tell people this, volk got ko'd by a fully hydrated Islam weighing over 170 pounds. Illia would barley scrape 155 on fight night an Islam's hardest head kick is way powerful to illia's best punch. Volk will eat them as he'll be 160 on fight night
I respect volka, the guy is nice, a great gentleman, and you can see that he is s good person. However it is sport, i go with ilia, too much explosive, too many weapons, he is without a doubt one of the best boxers in the ufc, he is he hardest puncher in his division and his wrestling is simply great, good luck for both guys.
Going with Ilia. Alex is durable and hard to put away but hes been dropped before and now he does have some mileage on him and will be slighty behind on speed. Im thinking Illia dropping him on a counter maybe during a quick exchange in the pocket and illia being the finisher he is wont let him off the hook. Alex will certainly try and dictate the pace and get some shots in but Ilia i think has the patience to not get sucked into Alexs pace wait and work his own attacks.
I love that everyone is a Volk fan now and he was the one getting booed in his "robberies" v Max. Y'all fickle as shit and y'all gonna see tonight it's gonna be Topuria v Emmet 2
