As someone who is on the left and who supported AOC (not voted for but liked very much and believed in) when she 1st appeared. I now see how I was fooled. Fooled by Bernie (the 1st run) and Obama (1st run as well) as well. Heck I'm old enough to have voted for Feinstein and Pelosi when they 1st ran! And watched as my beloved party just took a nose dive to awful (before Obama I was deeply asleep with the Clinton's). But I also have seen over the decades the insanity of the "other side". I'm now left with little trust and hope for anything. They have ALL betrayed the people.
