Oh he was so sweet, mentioning all those people, the doctor and the old lady :) he's so attentive and so nice!!! Not to mention what an amazing skater he is!!! That is why people love him :)
I think it says a lot he chose his farewell performance here in Canada. We love figure skating and great skaters, no matter where they're from and Yagudin is one of the best. I actually got to see him live when Skate the Nation. Yagudin will always be one of my favourites, definitely my favourite skater of his era.
Yes, The first time I saw this guy skate was in apromo for a Staurady ASfternoon of men's skating and I had not bothered to watch skating very often since accpet when kurt Browing or Scott Hamilton were skating in some professional event. a two second blipof him made me tune in and when he was done with his long program I had to satnd up and clpa and scream BRAVO in my living room. He always gives so much and that is why we all love him so much.
So, so true. It hurts to think what could have been for him. I HATE that Plushenko got as many Olympic medals as he did. Alexei still has won more Worlds though.
I hope he can skate again in the futureas well as he ever did or beyond that. Does anyone know how he is doing after his hip surgery? I hope if it is his wish he continues on.
