I find it odd that Doug considers Sativa safer for newbies than Indica. To me, too much indica just puts me to sleep but too much sativa makes me nauseous and makes my heart pound. Might be an age difference. I'm 65 and I used to smoke mostly sativa but nowadays OG Kush is my favorite medicine.That is a hybrid but acts like an indica.

Mike Oldschool yeah it's definitely your age, sativa just isn't as strong as indica, which also relaxes your muscles, maybe why your heart won't race when you smoke indica

that's true in general in that sativa strains tend toward high CBD/low THC and produce more of a head high while indicas tend toward high THC/low CBD and produce more of a body effect. I think you are on to something there as to the reason indicas don't usually produce the heart pound, its that relaxing effect.

Mike Oldschool I think it's mainly because indica will mellow them out too much and it might make for bad TV. I personally don't get that way on indica and I'm much more likely to get tongue tied on sativa vs indica but some people react differently.

hey Doug, you should try doing a guest host thing. After the second break of every show have the quietest guest host the show so they have to talk, and then after the next break just go back to hosting like normal. I bet that would be pretty interesting.

There are over 400 discovered (so far) *endogenous cannabinoids. eg. THC mimics 'anandamide', an endogenous cannabinoid. (Mechoulam et al) & acts on both CB1 & CB2 receptors.

Incorrect. There are only a couple of discovered endocannabinoids. while there are hundreds of phytocannabinoids (ones in cannabis plants). But they all bind to cannabinoid receptors.
