To be honest, I think the only reason she wanted the other coat was because it was mink and she wanted to show she had the money to buy it, remember she didn’t exactly come from a high society background.
Somehow I don't believe it even tho I adore Joan to bits she never really says anything too nice about anyone, particularly women. However I wish that Heather would get her act together and come back to tv she was such a big star and good in everything!!
@@markc-ru4qzNo it's in her book....it's really surprising she got along well with almost all of them except Michael Nader....she was very close to John James and Pamela Bellwood...It's funny how Heather's later character....Amanda on Melrose Place (another Spelling Production)....had a lot in common with Alexis.
@@oceans80 Yet Fallon contended that Alexis abandoned her as a child, to be raised by Blake as Alexis led her jet set life. In the early Dynasty episode when Alexis first appears with Fallon in Colorado, it is after her 16 year absence -- yet snarkily she says to Fallon, at least I see your father had your teeth fixed. Mother of the last century.
Heather Locklear (Sammy Jo) was an unexpected stir back then in Dynasty that no one saw coming... And her level of blackmailing and genius was too unexpected! Played well!
This otherwise undeniable bitchiness by Sammy Jo towards Alexis was signature for Dynasty. It has an escapist quality that pales in comparison to today's staged "reality shows." I even watched it when I was studying my calculus! :)
This was such a great time in Dynasty. The plots were juicy and everyone was bratty, catty and bitchy. Alexis in red dominates the image. 80s televisions were probably on the verge of exploding lol Red was definitely her signature color. Nancy Reagan had nothing on Alexis in the red department lol!
J.R. White Unquestionably. The Moldavian Massacre was a terrific cliffhanger, but the following season’s absurd premiere marked the moment in time that the show jumped the shark. So, by fall of 85, the show had begun its decline.
Did you say Was*, let bygones be bygones. However, nowadays she would still be great in ‘Whatever happened to Baby Jane”as Baby Jane in her final years.
Joan played the scene rather sympathetically; it gave a bit more depth and insight into her character; the audience understands that she would have done the same.
Hihi Lol when i see this scene everytime i rewatch Dynasty on dvd i look at my Fabulous Fur Barbie and reminds me that she was released the same year when Sammy Jo arrived on Dynasty. 😄
Roxanne Santoro girl yes! I was wearing a fur to school and I was only in 3rd grade 😍 I had to keep on top of that because all the other girls at my school were keeping on top of it too. The 80’s...
These two are the 80s version of Queen Margaery and Cersei. She knows how to dish it right back to Alexis 😄 But Alexis and Cersei always had the upper hand.
These 2 were a great much needed addition to the cast in 1981. Although Pamela John and Linda were great too The show needed an extra punch. Was disappointed when Sammy jo was written out in spring 1982.yet happy upon her return in 83
True. She was probably brought in to entice younger viewers to tune in-- of both genders; she almost seemed like a teen when she arrived at the mansion. And making the character poor and devious added friction to the pot. Sammie Jo was a fish out of water, and she wanted a chunk of that good life.
@@eduardo_corrochio she was 19 when she was cast. And that was her natural voice. After leaving season 2 of Dyansty she got a coach who trained her to model her voice. She sounded much differwnt when she came back in s5. Hell, she already sounded diff when she briefly returned in s3 as she was already working on controlling her voice.
Sammy Jo unintentionally reveals that she is far from the sophisticated, wealthy society of Denver when she picks up a fur coat and rubs it on her face like a little girl might do, basically hugging it. Can't imagine any woman of means doing such a thing in a fur salon, LOL. Interesting how Alexis often seemed to make the mistake of underestimating Sammy Jo's mind and shrewdness. It happened before when Alexis tried to buy the girl off with a check, and then instantly SJ tured the entire situation to her own advantage: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-e3W6EpCwo1E.html
It was, the woven wool braided coat/ poncho's look, fabric, leather and fur coat and also fake fur coats. I simply love the 60/70/80/90's best clothing times 🌟 where people had love and respected one another. No harsh mentality, bullying, narcist wat of behave. You could west whatt' evah you liked to be! And those baseball shirt/jackets, caps plateau heels, glitters, flowerpower, afro, punk, alto', disco, romantica, vintage, rock'roll, flipper girls and boys look,Gypsy/Bohemian/etnic you name it...Wish it all could come back. Dynasty was the best, Dallas too 🥰❤️🔥💥😍👌
