i too have this alf dvd set collection but for some reason its missing the rare original un-aired pilot i think you can only get that on the old lions gate alf season 1 dvd set on disc 4 i know case i have it

I should have addressed this in the video.. so if you are considering upgrading your previous dvd sets there are a few reasons: 1. These are the original uncut episodes 24-25 minutes long. When Alf went into repeat syndication they removed 2-3 minutes of each episode to add more commercials. Previous dvd sets have never had these versions. 2. The set includes the complete animated series and Alf Tales. Also included is the tv movie Project ALF. 3. There are a few episode commentaries that I have not yet listened to. Alf is also on these. There is also a look back feature. Now there is one reason the previous dvd sets are better than this release. And that is the dvd menus themselves. This release is just a simple play all or episode selection. The previous season sets had an amazing interactive menu hosted by Alf. They were like a talk show. Alf would talk to you and react to whatever choice you made. He would even give a synopsis of the episodes. This is sadly missing and I miss these Amazing dvd menus that were on a lot of other releases. So maybe hold onto your old sets for this reason. Thanks for watching! Yeah, I do love those animated menus in the original releases. I'll keep an eye on this new set in case there's a good deal. I'd love to have the animated shows, but $90 that Amazon is asking for is a bit too rich for my current blood.
I got mine recently at Wal-Mart. Would've gotten it directly from Shout's website but Wal-Mart was selling it for $65 with tax and Shout has it for $85 "With Free Shipping". It's the same exact DVD Box Set so I can't get why Wal-Mart can sell it for $20 cheaper?

I was wondering what made this set different than owning just the four seasons that were currently out. So this includes the entirety of the animated series? Now I want it.
Yes! Thank you so much for pointing this out. I should have addressed this in the video. So it includes Alf the animated series and Alf Tales both shows complete. Also the tv movie Project Alf. There’s also some commentaries which Alf commentates on and a look back feature. In addition to that, this is the original uncut episodes that were not available in previous releases. Many of the episodes are 2-3 minutes longer than the old dvd sets. This is important because Shout Factory responded to fans asking for these original longer episodes and released this set.
