In this episode I take a city drive through Stuttgart, Germany, and discuss my comprehensive review of the KW V3 suspension on my car after driving them for just over 10k miles
Love your exterior & suspension setup. Exterior details are exactly for what I'm looking to build my Misano Blue Giulia Veloce but sadly it's not that cheap especially with the coilovers.
Hey Fast4, thanks for the video, it’s an excellent review. Delighted that you’re so happy with the KW set up. I have a KW Street Comfort coil over kit (still in the box, long story) for my 2016 BMW 640D Gran Coupe. I hope to have it fitted soon and hope it’ll give me a slightly stiffer, sporty drive while remaining comfortable. I’d be very interested if anyone on here has any experience with the Street Comfort Kit. Take care and thanks again 🙏👍
Front strut brace is a great option and yes does work but only should be added in conjunction with a rear strut brace. Usually, chassis bracing is the last thing you do to a car. Suspension tuning works as follows 1. Tires/ alignment 2. Springs/shocks 3. Sway bars 4. Chassis rigidity
From this video (the body shakes when you hit bumps), it appears you damping is, indeed, set on full stiff. As you know, for most roads in the US the ride would be unacceptable, but that's why there are damping adjustments.
Correct! I prefer it stiff (lmao) but seriously im a track guy at heart so ill take a comfort penalty for a more responsive steering feel and spirited driving experience. But yes i could easily numb the car up and not feel a thing.
@@club.alfagt I understand, as I felt the same way when I was your age (I just turned 74). Instead of making major car mods in my '30s, I did that to motorcycles instead. Today I've backed off just a bit and ride a Ducati SuperSport rather than a full-on Panigale, but a lot of that change was based on my current roads here in SE Michigan.
@@rlsedition Wow! Godbless you sir! I hope to be doing those same things one day! A Ducati is on my list of things to ride and eventually own, a panigale v2 specifically
@@club.alfagt The Pani is better suited to track use than my SuperSport, but the SS is better for the road (more comfortable riding position and a less top-end-focused powerband). Because I still ride, I didn't buy the QV Giulia. If you haven't ridden sport bikes much, I think you'd be amazed at how adept they are on the track, even with zero modifications.
