Personally I loved the stelvio with the same engine far more than the Giulia which is very nervous and engaging to drive, while the stelvio is pure fun you can powerslide when you want, go 300km/h and smoke almost every other car at the traffic light! I despise SUVs so much but man the stelvio quadrifoglio is pure art... Additionally, who says this engine does not sound extremely good clearly never heard the sound live...at least you don't set up the exaust sound from the infotainment...

@@antonis5999 nothing to do with bmw engines it’s just the filters they put on for law if you take it off it will sound better than this Alfa because it’s inline six and 3.0
@@alexk3469 yes and no; the S55 sounds better in an F87 M2 than it does in an F80 so it's more than just filters. The Alfa is more natural but raspy overall. The S55 without OPFs in an M2 sounds good, but has too much artificial burbling

The sound is incredible... but at 0:28 it looks like you tell the car to shift up and it completely ignores you until you let off the throttle at 0:30... am I seeing that right? What's up with that?

First of all, a friend of mine has owned a Giulia QV AND the GTAm version. None of the two ever broke down. Second, I was talking about speed, not reliability (and again, tons of data proving me right, the F80 M3 is slower in literally every front). Third, sound is subjective. Fourth, if you think Italian cars are unreliable, you've never heard of the old 1980s Fiat Panda. It's unreal how reliable that metal box is. Have a nice day

Busso is massively underpowered for a Giulia... It's an exceptional engine for drama and usability but it's irrelevant in the modern age unless you start going into turbos/superchargers or heavily modifying it. I've owned one for 8 years and still have it, really is an all time great engine but it has it's limitations.
@@Negativvv I don't think it's massively underpowered; it's our perception of power that has changed. Not so long ago, 5 seconds to go from 0-100kmh was thought to be rocket speed, today it's considered slow, if not irrelevant for the sports cars market.
@@MrMill-jl1kw Well that's the issue, if other manufacturers are making hyper cars then Alfa needs to keep up. IMO the Quad is stupidly overpowered, no one needs 510bhp or whatever and 190mph from a saloon if you ask me... My 3.0 Busso has 230bhp and it's more than enough for the modern roads where there's traffic and speed enforcement cameras everywhere.
@@MrMill-jl1kw no busso will go 0-100 in 5 seconds lmao. I've got a Giulietta qv with the 1.75tbi. absolutely demolishes my friends busso brera. And mines a 6s 0-100 car, not even fast.
@@Wawawalulu The Brera didn't get the busso but a GM engine 🤦♂️ unless your friend swapped the engine. The Brera and the 159 are slow in their v6 configurations due to their engine and ridiculous weights.
@@kiborgkiborgiqn5108 no. as much as I love it, the stance, the looks of the m3 is better. but performance wise stock for stock the giulia is better. more power, more torque, it's lighter in weight. more realistic feel in the steering (driver feedback) the quadrifoglio still has a soul.

@@datdude8878 me personally i wouldn't ive been down this road and it doesn't end well especially with alfa dealerships. These cars are fun to drive but there's just not enough R&D on these cars with the compilations they already have
@@datdude8878 audi is probably the most reliable European car when it comes to tuning! Lots of parts and those motors durable as hell lots of R&D also. Id say thats a win win
That was hard to watch. Barely controllable. Compare to a 911 where all the weight is on the back, hooks up and takes well to stage 2 stage 3 esp a turbo. You need AWD to keep that power in check see the new AWD BMWs. There is only so much power RWD and Front engine can take before it’s hard to control. Prior to the new BMW with AWD, any major tune 100hp/100tq increase made the cars hard to control.
