@@mrsfibra7662 Stelvio Started production in 2016 while GLC started production in 2017 ! just a year difference...GLC is stock too ! Stelvio used very hardcore bucket sport non comfort seats while the Benz used normal seats.
Finally Porche marginally beats it with the Turbo GT Cayenne... which costs... twice as much!!! Don't they realize, if I'm spending $200k, I might as well get a McLaren? haha
Love the car but Fabio should have worn a T-shirt like in the Giulia video just to show the germans like "ye we beat you on your home turf TWICE without being tryhards, problem?"
He only did that in the second hot lap he did with the Giulia. If its oficially recorded it has to follow safety measures as required by the track inspectors.
Ho letto molti commenti di persone che non capiscono un accidente di automobili del tipo: " il compratore medio non guarda i record , entra in auto vede se è spaziosa comoda e se ha i full led" allora a parte che evidentemente vi piace essere medi e cioè mediocri, ma vorrei far capire a questi ingenui che LE PRESTAZIONI di questa Stelvio che permettono di realizzare un record sono dovute a soluzioni ingegneristiche che intervengono anche se andate a 50km orari, rendendo il veicolo performante, sicuro in curva, sicuro in sorpasso di emergenza, sicuro nel disimpegno ecc... e non solo "veloce". Se non capite questo evitare di commentare un video come questo e compratevi "trattori e carriole"
Wow, la nuova Stelvio è fantastica , mio padre ha fatto una prova di guida della 3000 turbobenzina da più di 500 CV ed è una cosa assurda, la ripresa secondo me è la migliore mai avuta su un SUV, e si sente la coppia importante già dai bassissimi regimi. Alfa Romeo sta rinascendo, prima la 4c , poi la Giulia e ora il record al Nurburgring di Stelvio, lavori importanti e ben riusciti senza dimenticare l'anno prossimo tornerà il team di formula 1 insieme alla Sauber (mancava dal 1988). Solo complimenti Alfa.
AR was so ahead of its time it's crazy. Too bad that the dealers are absolutely uneducated and don't know how to sell these cars. Every dealer I went to knew less than someone who decided to study Giulia/Stelvio for just half an hour.

I have to say, that I have a Giulia Quadrifoglio, and I also own several other cars...other much more expensive and "sportier". There are faster cars, but no car lights a candle to the Giulia in terms of the overall emotional feeling of driving the car. The turn in, the suspension, the comfort, the economy, the performance, the power delivery vs throtle..I mean it is miles away from most of the current cars...I am actually thinking about buying a Stelvio also...

At that speed, a Macan turbo becomes just a moving chicane for Stelvios.. Bravo ...yet SUV's are real dogs, running dogs maybe but dogs, the Guilia Quadrifoglio is 5% faster. Meanwhile I keep my slow Ghibli SQ4..266 km/h is fast enough 4 me. bravo FCA..good work.
Brilliantly driven and well done Alfa Romeo! So is it still consider a production car series since this SUV is roll-caged enforced to strengthen its chassis rigidity? I understand the car is stock but just asking if the time achieved is good with the road-going production series...
Rollcage as standard? What else has been removed together with rear seat? What tires and suspension has been used in this stunt? New car for demostration purposes, but dashboard is on fire from error messages.

I really like Alfa Romeo but this video is very skeptical, it's badly edited just to shortened few seconds from the actual time! That's why they switched the video camera angel few times for this reason, for example, the most skeptical part of this video at 03:16:0 somewhere between Breidscheid to ExMühle at ring, remember a special tree from the left, now let's compare this with M4GTS video, the time with M4GTS at the almost same position with that tree was 03:02, back to the Stelvio QV, camera switched back just 0.1 second after Stelvio is already at the place where fence at two sides of the track, the M4GTS took 5 seconds to reach there from that tree, at almost the same place M4GTS time was 03:07, so how is possible that Stelvio QV just take 0.1 second arrive the same place where M4GTS need 5 seconds to get there?
Yup, I noticed it right away. I compared it to GT2 RS lap and Stelvio did that section of the track in half the GT2's time... 0:58 and 3:29. Those are the 2 video cuts.
I think he left 15 seconds on the table easily. Why? Fear, fear and respect. You must respect the Nurburgring, the second you don't, it will eat you alive. When you are sending 4300 pounds, it takes on a very different character than when you are sending a little Giulia around. So, mad respect for this guy. I wonder how many times he spun it tho
in comparison with the Giulia QV it seems that the same driver (fabio francia) puts less effort in cornering (he does less adjustments with the wheel due to 4X4 obviously), but therefor I was expecting the same time with the Giulia QV
I own a Stelvio Sport but I might have to upgrade to the Quad after this video. I still like to put my Stelvio in D mode (Destroy) not Dynamic lol.......
Il mestiere più bello del mondo. Seconda metà del giro STREPITOSA, non vorrei scrivere eresie ma mi sembra che nella prima metà del giro qualche secondo si possa ancora limare. Questa è l'alfa romeo che vogliamo.
Piange il cuore a vedere che anche l'Alfa si è dovuta piegare alla terrificante moda dei SUV, che la "S" di sport non si capisce da dove l'abbiano presa, visto che sono una sorta casalinghi autoblindo per gente che ha bisogno di compensare deficit psicologici. Stelvio vende il doppio di Giulia, incredibile! ma l'avete vista la Giulia al Nurburgring?! Quella è un'auto per correre! Al confronto lo Stelvio sembra un Obeso ipervitaminizzato che cerca di fare un corsa ad ostacoli senza sudare!!! Inguardabile! Comunque complimenti ai tecnici Alfa Romeo, e ancora di più al Pilota!
Tony mark non puoi confrontare due vetture di generazioni diverse...il fatto che i cosidetti SUV di adesso siano capaci fare una curva velocement,e lo si deve al fatto che il progresso tecnologico di pianale e sospensioni ha raggiunto un livello talmente alto da poter permettere anche ad un'auto con baricentro alto di non ribaltarsi in curva. Immagina però la stessa tecnologia applicata ad una berlina più bassa e leggera, che risultati puoi ottenere!! Infatti Giulia ha fatto un tempo inferiore di Stelvio sul Nurburgring!Non è vero che i SUV distruggono il 99,9% delle auto che incontrano, se le berline sono della stessa generazione e condividono la stessa tecnologia, vanno più veloce, accelerano meglio, frenano meglio, vanno meglio in curva e consumano meno. E poi è soprattutto un fatto di stile. Un'auto sportiva deve essere bella!! E quando penso ad un'auto bella, mi vengono in mente le forme sinuose della Lamborghini Miura, o quelle spigolose e aggressive della F40, e tante altre......Come può un SUV, essere considerato bello? con quelle forme pachidermiche? che cosa hanno di "Sportivo" i SUV?! E' per questo che, dico, un filmato dello Stelvio che fa il tempo sul giro, è un controsenso, e mi sembra abbastanza ridicolo!
Andare in montagna, trainare una barca, ma perchè, con una Giulia non puoi farlo? cosa ha in meno di uno Stelvio? c'è anche la versione a trazione integrale. A me sembra che la maggior parte delle persone prenda il SUV perchè fa tendenza, poi ti tocca vederli che andare in giro per il centro di Milano o di Roma per fare shopping o portare i figli a scuola (no comment!). In realtà quelli che hanno la fortuna di avere una seconda casa in montagna o in campagna, da raggiungere tramite stradine sterrate, preferiscono i gippettini (tipo suzuki Jimny) perchè il SUV han paura che si rovini.... Poi ognuno compra l'auto che più gli piace, i gusti son gusti, ma sembra che ci sia molta confusione sull'argomento suv, e poi mi tocca sentire da tutti quelli che se ne sono comprato uno, che non hanno bisogno delle catene o dei pneumatici da neve per quando nevica, perchè tanto c'hanno la trazione integrale, cosa assolutamente errata!! E non puoi dirmi che il porsche cayenne, per quanto sia un prodotto eccellente, sia dinamicamente superiore ad una berlina di pari prezzo e potenza!! o che può dare la paga in pista ad una 911 o una panamera, le leggi della fisica non le ho inventate io. Un'auto pesante e col baricentro alto non può essere veloce come una berlina di pari potenza. Poi se vuoi sfidare uno con 300 cv in meno..... Ma torno a ribadire quanto detto prima: Alfa Romeo nell'immaginario di tutti, ha sempre voluto dire Auto belle e sportive. Stelvio non è bello, né sportivo! Ma se serve per vendere..... Che tristezza!!!
Sicuramente La Porsche Cayenne è una gran macchina, tecnicamente parlando. E ci mancherebbe altro, con quello che costa! Ma una station wagon non ha più capienza e versatilità?! e non è più bella? La mia non vuole essere una critica al Cayenne. Ma ribadisco il concetto che mi fa una gran tristezza vedere un Suv col marchio Alfa Romeo, pensando alla storia del marchio. Stesso discorso di Porsche. Poi se ti serve per tirare una barca....... Infatti io ne vedo tutti i giorni, nella mia città che vanno in giro a tirare barche!! mah. Poi se chiedi alla maggior parte delle persone, se è più bella una 911 o un Cayenne, quasi tutti rispondono che è più bello il Cayenne! che è un macchinone! (le dimensioni contano!) Mi sembra che ci stiamo abituando ad una nuova estetica delle auto. Come per la cucina, dalla diffusione dei fast food, chi è in grado di riconoscere un piatto di cucina genuina?! Ma si sa, i gusti son gusti......
